Excellent piece of kit.
I've had it two weeks. My previous dehumidifier sounded like an HGV when it was on. This you hardly notice. And it is a lot bigger and cheaper to run. It certainly does what it says on the box and the app is superb. It will switch of when it gets to the humidity you set, then it comes on to check if it's needed. I'd definitely recommend it to you. It also has a HEPA filter, so the air is improved. Can't beat it.

Having only just installed, they are easy to set up, extract moisture well, controlling humidity setting was a must as lots of items needed a certain temperature.

works so well im sure it uses blackmagic.
It takes a surprising (almost concerning) amount of water out of the air on a daily basis, is very quiet, dries clothes on the airer far faster than it has any right to do, and doesnt wreck my leccy bill. The air filter is handy, and seeing windows clear up that have had condensation every winter weve lived in this old house is something i didnt think possible. I can only conclude meaco somehow managed to squeeze some form of magic into the casing somewhere. absolutely worth the money, and the smart home integrations to turn it on or off, change mode and get notifications when the tank is full is super helpful. 5 stars across the board.

Great dehumidifier
Have had this meaco arête two for two weeks so far. Have only used it on air purifier mode. Due to low temperatures, dehumidification isn’t necessary until temperatures rise. Air purification mode has definitely made the air feel cleaner and more fresher. I’m really happy with this purchase so far. Will try smart dehumidification mode when it starts feeling that little bit warmer.

The supplier has advised the following for the MeacoDry Arete Two 25L Dehumidifier and Air Purifier:
“ Answer - no.
Please note that compressor dehumidifiers do not have the capability to blow our warm air or cold air. However, as the air circulates, it may feel cool, especially if your space is already a bit cooler. While the air passes through the unit, it actually warms up by about 1°C only.
If the customer is looking for a machine that blows out noticeably warmer air, please redirect them to any of the DD8L models.
Desiccant dehumidifiers naturally emit heat as they operate, producing air that is 10-12 degrees warmer than the current room air. ”

“ The dehumidifier must be placed in a central position on the ground floor or first floor landing. When the dehumidifier is running you will need keep all the internal doors open as much as possible to allow the air to circulate. So there in no need to move it around. ”
