I bought this for my son who is sitting driving lessons he is finding it useful for teaching him to steer and gearstick and pedals are a great car simulator it is teaching him to go up and down the gears

Good Budget Option
This is a fantastic budget option but I wouldn't say beginner friendly. The software for it is installed as an APK on your mobile which isn't mentioned anywhere obvious. Should be plug and play but it's more plug, spend ages figuring out the best settings for every game then play. It won't auto configure your controls on any game so had to contact support. Bottom line - once setup it's great, setting it up can be quite annoying the first time

Hot Wheels Monster Trucks - I had try made this work with Stunt Mayhem, ForzaHorizon5, BeamNG.drive - no positive results, as a device, all connected properly, all in power with lights on stearing wheel, but any of this let me play"plug and play", had tryied made own setup in settings, not work, not possible to save on PC or not active after back to game on xbox one x (FH5), after many hours in two days, we decide to return "Maxx Tech Pro Force Feedback Racing Wheel Kit PC, Xbox & PS4" to Argos, not recomended,

Great wheel if you are just starting or are on a budget. Only downside is the wheel is not compatible with Forza

Great wheel for the cost
The quality of the wheel is better than I was expecting. I have tried it on a PS4 and xbox Series S. PS4 played all my games but not all games worked on the xbox Series S. I contacted their technical support. They said once the wheel is connected, hold L3+R3 for three seconds. This has now allowed more games to work (F1 2023, Grid Ledgends, Forza Horizon 5 in addition to WRC 10, Dirt Rally 2.0 works out the box). Would recommend.
