Perfect bird hospital
I got this for the birds that occasionally fly into the windows, to keep them safe and warm while they recover - and protect them from my dog. It's the perfect size and the handles are convenient in case they ever need to go to a vet or shelter. It's a little flimsy but strong enough for an injured bird.

It’s not according to picture.
Please change the picture.. this product is not according to picture… I been to store and I was so disappointed when salesgirl has shown me real one.. I suffered a lot only because of your intentional mistake… I bought it and then I applied for refund after buying it because it looked bigger in picture but in real it was very very small.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for Rosewood Animal Pod Carrier - Small.
The carriers are not IATA specification. Further to this, whilst IATA lay out requirements for carriers placed in holds on a generalised basis, two key things to note:
IATA don’t recommend specific carriers – i.e. carriers should not say “IATA approved”, even if they do meet IATA standards.
Individual airlines may have their own specific requirements. So, pet owners always need to check directly with the airline.
But I’d say that the carrier we supply would almost certainly not be suitable.

The supplier has advised the following for the Rosewood Animal Pod Carrier - Medium.
"The Rosewood Animal Pod Carrier is not designed for birds as there is not perch or food cups attached to the carrier." (We'd advise against using it for a bird too for the same reasons).
The supplier adds that, if only using for a short trip to the vets, this would be very much a last option in the absence of anything better/more suitable, rather than using a cardboard box, for example, where they can chew their way out. They advise to place paper and a blanket in the bottom and don’t place any toys in the carrier to reduce risk of injury.
They do say this though: "Ideally if the consumer is planning to travel with a bird they would need to purchase a bird specific carrier." (We'd have to confirm the same, that you'd be best purchasing a bird specific carrier designed for the purpose as it'd be much more comfortable, safer for the bird, and with less risk of injury in transit.

Having checked I can see this would depend on the size of the gerbils. The medium carrier is H15, W23, D17cm.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Rosewood Animal Pod Carrier - Medium: The animal pod carrier is great value and specifically designed for smaller pets. The medium is 23x17x15cm and is ideal for hamsters, mice and gerbils. The large is 30x22x22cm and is for guinea pigs, rats and degus. Ideal for safe and secure pet travel or as a temporary home during cage cleaning.

Hello there,
After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Rosewood Animal Pod Carrier - Medium: Yes, it is suitable.
This will always depend on the size of bird. You would need to use a soft face cloth or something similar on the floor for comfort due to the ridges in the plastic (that the bird wouldn't get their claws caught in or ingest). Always make sure the carrier is fastened securely.
