About this product
Get through the ironing pile with a bit more cheer. The Habitat Large 124 x 38cm Ironing Board with Mid Century Bar Tile cover brings a splash of retro style to your laundry routine, with a sturdy design that's built for everyday use. The cheerful midcentury inspired cover is made from 100% cotton to help your iron glide smoothly across every shirt, sheet and pair of trousers, while the foam backing gives your clothes an extra layer of protection from heat and pressure.
The adjustable height lets you set the board from 78cm to 95cm, so you can find the right position whether sitting or standing. The 124 x 38cm surface gives you space to tackle shirts, bedding and larger items without repositioning. Non-slip feet keep the board stable, and the drawstring fastening tightens the cover snugly without slipping. The cover is machine washable for easy care, and the board folds down to 160cm for compact storage. It works with irons and steam generators, so whatever kit you have, it's ready to handle it.

Forget all about interplanetary travel
Argos, I must commend your optimism in requesting a review of this ironing board, a device whose engineering sophistication is so modest that even the most charitable observer would struggle to describe it as ‘advanced’.One might have hoped — given the breathless enthusiasm of your marketing emails — for at least a token gesture toward innovation: a plasma stabiliser, perhaps, or a rudimentary Alcubierre drive. Alas, what arrived was an object so heroically unambitious that it appears to have been designed by a committee determined to avoid any risk of progress. It is, I concede, capable of supporting a shirt. Beyond that, its contribution to the future of human civilisation is negligible. It does what it is designed to do, facilitating the task of ironing clothes……what more do you expect it to do.

Large Ironing board
Bought recently. It is much larger & lighter than my old one which unfortunately broke. The padding is very good, not keen on pattern though. It is a little wobbly when ironing. It would definitely suit a taller person, but it has a good range of adjustability.

Good features
I bought this a few weeks ago. The size is great, iron glides over everything. It is easy to put up and down. The cover is quite thick so heat resistance is good. The price was just right.

Perfectly acceptable
Perfectly acceptable but a little lightweight and not the easiest to adjust the height.

Great maximum height
Lovely lightweight ironing board. Great size and comes up to a really good height, (I’m tall) but would be equally good for ironing whilst sitting down. Great price.
