Excellent product
I have two of these. Used to extend to my separate annex and upstairs of a solid stone house. Very pleased, both work as they should, would recommend.

Works, but difficult to customise
The unit plugs in and functions, but the app for changing the network name and password doesn’t work. WPS failed.

Works very well
Easy to install and set up, and it does what I want it to do - providing WiFi in an outbuilding. The ethernet cables provided weren't quite long enough to reach the electric socket I need to use, but fortunately I had another one which was. It would be good if Argos were to sell the WiFi plug-in separately, as I could do with another one for another part of the house.

Works
Does what it says resonably well

TP Link AV600 Powerline Adapter Wi-Fi Booster
Bought this item a fortnight ago after a bit of research and recommendations. Amazingly easy to install as I wanted Wi-Fi running out into my Summer House. I’m running a TV and Sky mini Box through Ethernet cable and the Wi-Fi is full strength. Crystal clear no buffering etc and it has boosted Wi-Fi to the rear of my garden for cameras etc. Fantastic product and I can’t recommend highly enough. 10/10 for Argos for stocking this 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Hello Loodles.
After checking with our supplier, they have advised for TP-Link TL-WPA4220 KIT AV600 Powerline Adapter Wi-Fi Booster.
Our powerline devices generally work with all routers.
However, for this device to work properly, you'll need to connect the included adapter to your router via the ethernet cable and then plug the extender on the third floor. Also, ensure that both your first and third floors are connected to the same powerline network.
Thank you for using Q & A.
Hi Sarah,
Yes, ethernet cables are included in the package. You can remove the app after installation.
Thanks for using Q&A.
Hello Clutha,
The supplier has advised the following for the TP-LINK 300M Wi-Fi Extender Booster & 600MBPS Powerline Kit:
"Yes, the TP-Link TL-WPA4220 KIT (Powerline Wi-Fi Extender Kit) is compatible with the PlusNet TG582n router. For that matter, any third party router is supported."
Thank you for using Q&A.

Hi Dee,
The TP-Link Powerline is broadly compatible with most standard Wi-Fi routers, including both TP-Link and non-TP-Link models. However, compatibility issues may arise with routers or gateways that use modified, outdated, or non-standard firmware. Additionally, TP-Link extenders can connect to open Wi-Fi networks that have no wireless password and hidden Wi-Fi networks.
Thanks for using Q&A.
Hi,
If you want to configure LED schedule (turn LED off at certain times) instead of completely turning the LED off, please refer to the below steps:
1) Only powerline models with Wi-Fi capability (TL-WPAxxxx or PGWxxxx) has the LED schedule feature.
2) Connect your PC to the Wi-Fi network of the powerline extender, access http://tplinkplc.net,... it will ask you for login credentials, please use admin/admin as the default username/password.
3) Go to Device Settings > LED Schedule to configure schedules of turning the lights off.
Thanks for using Q&A.
Hi Nat,

Hi
It should work.
I have it set up in an outbuilding that is 25m away from the main house.
Outbuilding electricity is supplied from main house electricity control panel via an underground armoured cable. In the outbuilding the armoured cable terminates at another control panel which supplies electricity to 4 double plug sockets, water heater and outside all weather double socket.
I got this set of powerline adapters to extend WiFi to that building. It works perfectly. Result Very strong signal
Hi,
Typically, there are 3 types of WiFi boosters in the market, meeting various network demands.
1. Range extenders (repeaters), with powerful amplifiers and antennas, can boost an existing WiFi network by receiving the wireless signals from your router and repeating them, extending signal coverage by up to twice the range.
Note: We recommend that you purchase and use an extender with the same Wi-Fi protocol as your router.
2. Powerline Adapters (PLC), different from range extenders and Mesh WiFi, powerline adapters transmit data and extend your home network coverage using existing electrical wiring. With powerline adapters, thick walls and ceilings aren’t a problem anymore.
3. Mesh WiFi, If you’ve added multiple network nodes but are still encountering WiFi dead zones while walking around your home, you should consider Mesh WiFi solutions. These are built to eliminate dead zones and provide uninterrupted WiFi throughout your home. A whole-home Mesh network system secures network speed and reliability in every corner of your home, no matter whether you are in the basement or on the rooftop, you can enjoy stable WiFi with seamless roaming.

Hello oap,
I can advise the following for the TP-LINK 300M Wi-Fi Extender Booster & 600MBPS Powerline Kit:
Once connected to your network, this will operate, but you would need to connect the camera to this directly by changing it's wireless network connection, depending on the location you are putting this you may also be able to change the SSID & Password so that it's the same are your main network without much interference.
Thanks for using Q&A.
Hi Dean,
TP-Link Range Extender works with almost any Wi-Fi router, TP-Link or non-TP-Link. However, it might not be compatible with routers or gateways with altered, outdated, or non-standard firmware. Additionally, TP-Link extenders can connect to open Wi-Fi networks that have no wireless password and hidden Wi-Fi networks.
Thanks for using Q&A.
