Gameplay splits between legitimate Speedhunter Showdown competitions by day, where you earn cash through race, drift and off-road events, and underground street races at night against tougher opponents. A rogue police task force led by Lt. Mercer hunts racers after dark, seizing their rides for profit, creating tension as you decide whether to risk one more race or bank your earnings and head home.
You'll customise and upgrade your garage of high-performance cars, adjusting performance and handling to match your preferred driving style. The game lets you personalise your racing identity and team up with online mates to tackle Palm City's streets together. Suitable for ages 7 and compatible with standard Nintendo Switch and Switch OLED. Whether you're competing in sanctioned daytime events for cash or testing yourself in illegal night races whilst avoiding bent coppers, the day-night structure keeps the gameplay varied and engaging across different racing disciplines.
