Does exactly what I wanted - i.e. counts my steps
The pedometer is fine but I found it a bit tricky to set up. This wasn’t helped by the information sheets that came with it. There’s a general one in a number of languages and then one detailed with the information you need to activate it. Unfortunately my detailed one was in Russian ! I had trouble looking it up online but have managed it and am using it.

“ In order to avoid counting steps that are not part of a walk, the unit does not display the step count for the first 4 seconds of walking. If you continue walking for more than 4 seconds, it displays the step count for the first 4 seconds and then continues to count.”
