As previously advised, this reel has been designed, tested and certified to be `splash proof' (IP54), so should not be left outside in heavy rain or for extended periods of time.
Any item for permanent outdoor use should be rated at least IP55, but preferably IP66.

For a lot of their pressure washers Karcher either restricts use of extensions to a very large cross-sectional area (larger than any UK extension would have) or completely forbids their use, so we would advise checking the manual to see whether this is the case with your model.

If you have pressed the reset button all the way in until it `clicks' then this will reset the thermal cut-out providing it's had enough time to cool back down (potentially this could take several hours), and changed out the fuse in the plug for a known good one, then the reel should be working again.
If it still isn't working after these actions then there is likely a break or disconnection within the cable or drum which isn't really something you can access or repair yourself.
For the first 12 months the retailer should assist you with such a case upon presentation of the original proof of purchase, after that 12 months and up to the 5 years of the warranty duration you will need to contact us directly with this information at:- technical.support@masterplug.com

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Masterplug 2 Socket 15m Cable Reel: ''We do not recommend any extension to be used with an EV charger. The EV Charger should be connected to a 13A socket Marked for use with EV.''

This Masterplug 2 Socket 15 Metre Waterproof Case Reel has a maximum constant power capacity of 10A (2,400W) when fully unwound or 3A (720W) when partially of fully coiled onto the drum.
If your 12V car charger requires more than 2,400W (2.4kW) then it will not be suitable as a load for this reel, otherwise it will be OK (given a full unwind if over 3A / 720W).

The 10Amp rating on this is meant to safeguard the cable. If the connected equipment draws an operating current or experiences a fault current over 10, the extension lead fuse will trip first. It's not a huge problem, but it's important to be mindful of the maximum loading of 2300 Watts.
