Non-metal handles
This was a "distress purchase" as all my old steamer's handles finally fell off or became too loose to trust with boiling water! The non-metal handles are *such* an improvement, as there's no more need for hand protection (though I do wonder how they'll stand up to the dishwasher). So far, I'm very pleased with this steamer.

excellent Steamer
This steamer is the third weve had and we find them excellent. Sadly we fail to put enough water in and end up burning the base. We renew them every year. Greta product. Have tp be care full not to turn heat up too high or the plastic handle can get too hot and give off an odour. Otherwise the best we have found.

Depending on your cooker and where it is placed the Russell Hobbs 18cm 3 Tier Stainless Steel Steamer the handles should not get very hot, they might get warm to touch .
