It has literally everything you need as a starter! But I needed for machine sewing and the thread on the spool wasn't sufficient for that purpose. I wish they had put thread lengths in the description.

This answer is definitely wrong! The kit contains universal sewing needles, not leather but they can be used on leather.

Having checked to see, this is not a lockable box. You'd need to keep it out of the way in some separate, secure place really, for example, putting it up high and out of the way or keeping it inside a larger box or container that has a lock on it.
