Quite disappointed with the item. Mistakenly thought it would pick up movement smaller than a human ie cat, dog, fox or hedgehog but alas no it doesn’t pick these up unlike the wildlife camera l have. I wanted a clearer picture / image of garden wildlife visitors but sadly not able to capture any although alternative positions have been tried

Smart, neat and easily fitted. The phone set up / pairing app is ok - more guidance in the hand book sheet would improve confidence in set up. The camera for no reason has gone offline - then re aligned 5 hrs later.The auto night setting fails to confirm if the twin spotlights acutally come on ! Set up - 30 degrees and 15 ft high - gives terrific field of view and allows trees / hedges to be edited out. Good Kit !

I would like to clarify that the C410 does not support SIM cards, as it is not a cellular-enabled camera.
Did you mean to insert an SD card instead? If you insert a compatible microSD card into the C410, you can enable local recording directly to the SD card without needing to subscribe to Tapo Care or pay any monthly fees.

If you plan to install it indoors and shoot through glass:
We do not recommend doing so. If the camera is installed behind glass, the infrared light will reflect, resulting in a blurry image. This is especially problematic in nighttime scenes, as it affects the timely detection of moving objects.
Furthermore, excessively high rooftop windows can also affect the camera's detection performance. We still recommend strictly adhering to the installation guidelines.
