Great security camera
I bought this camera a month ago to replace one which just stopped working. Tapo is SO much better than the rival brand I had before. Picture quality day and night time is excellent, can set sensitivity to avoid birds and animals triggering it. After a few attempts the camera connected to my WiFi. Installation was easy. No hard wiring. Battery still on healthy charge. I will be buying Tapo from now on.

I thought it was a good idea to have a battery camera, soon returned it. The picture was good but it wasnt picking up or recording much. I have 2 other tapo cameras with no problem at all but they are electric. I returned this 1 to end up getting a outdoor electric 1.

It still requires a level of light for colour night vision to work. Of there is Zero light and the lights on the camera are not on then it will be the generic IR (greyscale) type.

Using the Tapo App: Go to the camera's Live View > Playback & Download > Playback page, select the date, tap the cloud icon, and then select the video clips you want to delete. Alternatively, go to the Cameras tab > Cloud Activity page, select the date, and select the video clips you want to delete.
Using the SD Card: Remove the SD card from the camera and connect it to your computer via an SD card adapter. Delete the video recordings on your computer. Alternatively, you can reformat the microSD card to delete all contents.

To delete video recordings from Tapo camera, please follow these steps:
For cloud video clips:
Go to Tapo APP > Home tab > camera's Live View > Playback & Download > Playback, tap the cloud icon, select the date, and delete the cloud recordings as needed.
For microSD card clips:
1. To delete individual detection recording from SD card, ensure hub storage is selected in camera's device settings page > Storage & Recording > Local Storage > Storage Location. This feature is only available for hub storage-compatible cameras: https://www.tapo.com/faq/686/...
2. To delete all SD card recordings, you can format the microSD card via the Tapo APP, or remove recordings manually by connecting the SD card to a computer with a card reader.
3. Tapo Cameras support SD card loop recording. Once the storage if full, the device automatically overwrites the oldest footage, ensuring continuous recording without manual deletion.
