I bought this personal CD Player recently it was for my sister to listen to her favouite CD'S. Absolutely brilliant play as loud as she Want's with the ear pieces in. Easy to use hold in the hand or on a table. The sound is excellent. I would recommend the player to everyone and use batteries or connect to the electric. Necessary in the war for our humanity
In this technologically saturated world, I don’t think that I am the only person desiring to step back from the incessant advertising, dopamine overdoses, and, worst of all, inescapable AI - in art, in text, in chatbots, in adverts, in once-unaltered family photos, in just near about everything. I don’t think that I am the only one wanting to step away from the digital world, and into my own - the ground that my feet walk on every day. I increasingly don’t like to carry my phone - and the heavy weight of the digital world with it - on me, which is why I bought this. I have collected CDs for years - there’s something special about owning a physical copy of an album I love, knowing it’s safe from interrupted listening or, worse, being re-written and the original becoming lost media. Whether it was my love for CDs and older tech (I have a flip phone, too) or my hatred for Spotify, I found myself purchasing this, and picking it up the next day. Now adorned in stickers, paired with my £2 wired earphones from Tesco, and with Florence and the Machine’s ‘Dance Fever’ CD ready to go, I’m able to listen to my favourite albums on the go. I was shocked by the sound quality: with the £2 earphones and the £15 disc player, I was expecting a gritty, hollow melody to greet my ears - I’m sure I would’ve gotten used to it, after all. Instead I was blessed by the rich, crisp vocals of Florence Welch as though I was in the recording studio with her. With the easy-to-use and, honestly, fun-to-spin volume wheel, I can have a melodramatic, visceral listening experience, or have the soundtrack to my life playing diegetically in the background, as I meander through my day. It’s lightweight, cool, and makes listening on the go as easy as it should be. Many may see it as an inconvenience, but in this world of AI-assistance and an at-your-fingertips consumer market, inconvenience is the cost I am more than willing to pay to keep my gratitude satisfied and my mind thinking. If anything, I am more selective and thoughtful in my actions. I could comment on the battery life, and wish it was longer, although if I am completely honest I have accidentally left it playing after long my earphones had been unplugged, so I have no idea of it’s actual battery life. I estimate it could see me through 3, maybe 4, albums, before having to replace the batteries. Overall, I love this little device. It’s cheap, easy-to-use, easily-portable and has good sound quality. Pop it in your bag, your larger pocket, or sew yourself a little belt buckle case and go on your way, feeling, physically, a couple of grams heavier, but, mentally, 10x lighter. I feel elevated when I have this in my pocket, the giraffe sticker on it peeling ever so slightly, getting caught in the fabric of my coat. Live on, funky people.

Good value.
I’m very pleased with this item it’s ideal for listening to the books on CD. The only downside is that the lid sticks a little and is sometimes a fiddle.

Ideal low cost lightweight portable CD player
Very happy with this - it’s perfect for what I needed, which is a low cost decent CD player with sound quality great for listening to audiobooks. Very light to pop into a bag. Ear pieces not hugely comfortable hence not 5 stars, but it will be very easy to get more. I didn’t want to spend lots of money but I did want something which worked and was lightweight. and it ticks those boxes perfectly.
