This purchase was a mistake the photo of the product can be more obvious, but it's fine. I changed it to a usb c charger.I originally wanted to buy a usb-c charger. The argos worker was quick and polite.

You would need to sit very close to a TV to connect your phone using this USB Type C to Lightning 1m Cable. Also, this is more suited as a charging cable, however you can use AirPlay or screen mirroring to TVs from iPhone.
