Fantastic quality
I bought this for my parents as they use, as they used to post off films to be developed. It is lightweight, portable, amazing quality on the postcard size prints. It can be connected to a digital camera, mobile phone or computer, it is very easy to use.

Great photos via computer
Excellent item, really great photos created. The app doesn’t print as well as straight from the Laptop though. If you want perfect photos use your computer as there is something about the app that drops the quality slightly over speed of printing the photos. From the Laptop though, excellent photos. Haven’t used via the SD car, probably as good quality though.

Photo Booth eat your heart out!
Really nice bit of kit. We bought it for a party where we wanted to set up a Photo Booth. Good quality prints easy to set up and access via Bluetooth. Will be printing holidays snaps in the future as think it’s really nice to do.

Great quality printer
This printer has a fine way of printing with the CMYK colours being layered on top of each other which I am very happy with. Though the app is a little limited when it comes to filters, you still have the choice of choosing the borders to be white, black or borderless. I am happy with the item! The only thing I will warn of is that sometimes the pictures are auto corrected to a brighter filter which can lighten the colours, which requires unticking a box on the app to remove this effect.

I can advise that for the Canon SELPHY CP1500, a single ink cartridge will print either 36 or 54 photos, depending on which ink/paper pack you purchase. The cartridges are designed to run out at the same time as the corresponding pack of paper, as they are sold together in a single set.

I can advise that the Canon SELPHY CP1500 Portable Colour Photo Printer - Black does not include ink or paper. I have consulted the user manual which advised that these need to be purchased separately and Canon recommend the Canon KP-36IP Colour Ink + 100 x 148 mm Paper Set, 36 Sheets.

I dont see how it can print a 6x4 inch image, possibly with a border too, when the paper size is 148mm x 100 mm which is already smaller than 6 x 4.

Our supplier has advised that the Canon SELPHY CP1500 Portable Colour Photo Printer - Black prints at 6x4 borderless, the small border that it prints off can be ripped off. If you are printing without the app your device will make it fit so you may lose some image; you have control of this crop with the Canon PRINT app.

After contacting our suppliers they have advised for the Canon SELPHY CP1500 Portable Colour Photo Printer - Black.
We don’t have specific data on how long prints from the SELPHY will take to fade. However, when stored in an album, SELPHY prints can last up to 100 years.
Our dye-based photo printers typically offer around 10 years of fade resistance when displayed in a frame, and up to 60 years when printed using pigment-based printers like those in our imagePROGRAF PRO series.
