About this product
The Canon SELPHY CP1500 is a portable photo printer designed for people who want lab-quality prints at home or on the go without fussing about with complicated setups. It prints vibrant postcard-sized photos quickly, and those prints are water, scratch and fingerprint-resistant, which means they'll survive handling and last for decades rather than fading in a drawer. You get Wi-Fi and USB-C connectivity so you can print wirelessly from your smartphone, tablet, camera or computer, and there's a built-in SD card reader if you prefer to print directly from your camera's memory card.
The LCD screen makes it simple to preview and select photos before printing, and the SELPHY Photo Layout app lets you personalise images with custom layouts, text, pattern overcoats and QR codes before you print. It prints at high resolution with glossy or satin finishes, and you can print both colour and black-and-white photos. The printer is compact enough to take to parties, family gatherings or trips, and it runs on either mains power or a rechargeable battery so you're not hunting for a plug socket wherever you go.

Great quality photos, affordable printing
Excellent, cost effective prints from this. Be warned, it's small and neat, but no Bluetooth connectivity and weight make it more a home-based printer, not one for printing on the go. That's fine by me. I can see me using it a lot for my hobbies. The ability to collage photos, so printing multiple images on the postcard size pages, makes it great for journaling, and in my opinion, cheap to run. I got the accompanying paper & ink bundle - 108 sheets & enough ink to print on them all - and the images are clear; colours are true. All in all, I'm delighted and am already having loads of fun memory keeping with this.

Superb - just buy one!
I have been taking digital photos for many years but could never be bothered with all the hassle and expense of buying and maintaining an inkjet printer. The Selphy CP1500 makes it all so easy and the print quality is superb. It's so much fun to use, easy to set up and has put a whole new meaning into my photography. Highly recommended!

Reasonable little photo printer
I bought after wasting hours (not for the first time) convincing my occasionally-used inkjet to print all colours. The CP1500 is pretty good - it prints photos fast and (so far) reliably, at reasonable cost. The software updates over my previous Canon dye-sublimation photo printer (a CP500 from around 20 years ago) are useful: Air-print is a must-have for me. However, it can take a minute to connect to WiFi and it's irritating that leaving it turned on and always available seems to be discouraged. Curiously the hardware/print technology seems to be identical to the 20 year old CP500 - but I guess it was always very good. Personally I'd have liked an option for slightly larger prints, as 6x4 always seems a bit small.

Brilliant Printer
Very compact printer that produces 6x4 print as good as any you could get elsewhere. The great bonus is now at family gatherings and other such events people can go home with a print in their hand there and then. Can either print directly from your smart phone, or from SD card in digital camera.

I bought this just to have physical copies of some of my photos. The product is small and neat. I managed to set it up to send images from my iPhone which turned out to out slightly darker and flatter than edited. To print images from my editing app I need to save as JPEG’s, attach to an email to myself and then load them into my photos on the phone. Then I send them using Bluetooth to the printer. It’s very longwinded and the Bluetooth connection is temperamental. If I send a ‘letterbox’ format image, the printer will keep the height and crop off whatever is on the right side. I can’t see a way to override this and the brochure is very sparing with information. When grouping images again, the printer crops each where it sees fit. I don’t like the random cropping, temperamental Bluetooth, the longwinded process, or the darker tone of the images but overall if you just want a print it’s ok at the price. If youre just printing from a smartphone it fine but if you want to do it from Windows 11 or you’re really getting into photography I’d avoid this and buy a proper printer.Also, in the blurb it says 23ppm. Incorrect. In reality it’s around 1 page per minute if you’re lucky.

The supplier has confirmed. The Canon SELPHY CP1500 Portable Colour Photo Printer does not have Bluetooth connectivity. It supports wireless printing via Wi-Fi, but not through Bluetooth.

Yes you can through the dedicated Canon SELPHY app, you can print up to 20 images on one sheet as a shuffle print, up to 8 as a collage and up to 2 as a side by side.

I can advise that for the Canon SELPHY CP1500, a single ink cartridge will print either 36 or 54 photos, depending on which ink/paper pack you purchase. The cartridges are designed to run out at the same time as the corresponding pack of paper, as they are sold together in a single set.
