Box OK lock not OK
I got this for my home filing, and it's OK, but the lock lets it down. I keep it in a cupboard and several times when lifting it in the top has come open. I am considering returning it, but probably won't. I definitely would not buy it again.

Sturdy box being made of metal and ok for the price, much better than my previous cardboard one and plenty of room for my important documents. The dividers are useful to help organise; but I needed more than the ones supplied. As others have said, the lock is poor. If locked with the key left in, it can suddenly open when lifted up and being metal could be harmful if it fell on your foot. Lock does hold if the key is left out, you just have to remember.

These files do not fit. The box is wider than these files the rails are 37.5cm wide and these are around 32cm wide. Any ideas?

Hello there,
I have spoken to our supplier who have advised as follows.
We recommend that the number of files to fit A4 metal box would be 20, this would give room for manoever to move the files around.
Of course you can fit up to 30 files but this would be a very tight fit.

Yes, this box measures H30, W37, D22cm which would be big enough to hold a laptop that measures 36cm by 24cm.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised: The A4 File Box is best with up to 15 files in it. They can hold more, but it starts to get tight at 20 files.

We have 12 in ours, some lightly loaded and a couple that are bulging, but 12 comfortably.
