Yes, I know it SAYS they are removeable but so did the last blender I bought last week - a different make - and neither me nor husband could budge them and nor could four burly young men. My question asked if they were EASILY removeable. Some makes and models include a tool to do this.

Yes I just bought this and it is weird - it doesnt click or lock - just sits ontop. The other answer is about the glass jug version so ignore that - this is the plastic version. It looks like something is missing but its just a bad design. Might be partly why its so loud.

The blender jug does not lock, the weight of the glass jug holds it in place, but it has to be fitted correctly to the base as the slots only mesh into the base at certain positions and will wobble if not fitted correctly. Twisting the glass jug, with the white plastic crown fitted clockwise when it is in the motor base, tightens up the plastic crown on to the jug. To remove the white crown from the jug if it is too tight, place the jug and crown into the motor base and turn it anticlockwise.
