Great value!
Bought this while it was on sale. Did a lot of research before purchase, this smart doorbell outrun among the its competitors. Great video footage quality, easy app control interface, no need for subscription and amazing after-sale service of Yale. Just lack of the marketing promotion with the influencer on social medias. Only shortcoming is you have to make sure the camera is installed pointing towards your pathway at its centre (accessory provided) otherwise your visitor will appear sideways in your video.

Better than a Ring doorbell
Better than the Ring doorbell we used to have as we no longer need to have a subscription to view the motion and hear the doorbell ringing whilst away from the house.

Over-promises. Under-delivers.
Not a great purchase unless you are technical or are swapping like for like. I was hoping to get a straightforward doorbell but the battery needs to be regularly recharged and the connector/charger cable doesn't work properly. When I called Yale, I was advised to buy the wrong charger so spent more wasted time and money.

The Yale Smart Video Doorbell and Chime allows you to setup the doorbell to whatever parameters you decide.
For example: only record when motion is detected or record 24/7 etc etc, through the Yale App.

From the information we have available, I can advise the Yale Smart Video Doorbell and Chime is not compatible with 5GHz Wi-Fi networks. It only works with 2.4GHz Wi-Fi.

I returned mine as there were no proper installation instructions, I purchased a Eufy system instead, IMHO a better product and that works over the wifi perfectly.
