The eufy E340 doorbell has two cameras - a 2K front facing with facial recognition, and the second to monitor the doorstep with package detection. Colour night vision allows you to see in clarity day and night, while the integrated lights offer help to see when it's dark. The doorbell can either be hardwired or battery operated - the battery can be removed for easy recharging. A Chime is included to hear alerts in the home.

Great camera, exagerated battery life claims
Had this for three weeks and had to charge it after two despite the claims of 6 month battery life. It's a great camera and does the job well but unless you turn off pretty much all the motion detection and don't use it to actually check who is at your door you will be charging it a lot. If you are thinking about buying this and actually using it consider having it hard wired it will run from a doorbell mains adaptor.

Meets our needs with no subscription
Bought Eufy E340 with chime a few weeks ago and we are pleased with its performance in meeting our needs. To set everything up, putting the app and optimising it on several phones, and connecting with your home wifi, allow for an hour or more. Familiarisation takes some time. We chose this video doorbell over a Ring product as it stores camera footage locally and in the app without the need for a monthly subscription. Camera resolution and visibility are clear. Several friends recommended it to us and we would recommend it to others.

Quality Bell
Great bit of kit. Easy to install and easy to operate. The App makes it easy to to access events or live views. Picture quality is clear day or night and the two cameras eliminates blind spots for parcels left on the step. Can be used as a simple doorbell with intercom but there’s loads of options to increase security aswell as Facial recognition although the more features you use the less the battery lasts. I bought a memory card to save my recordings using the indoor chime instead of the onboard doorbell. Early days interms of battery life but I’m guessing I’ll be charging it monthly which given the amount of traffic I get is acceptable. I also think as doorbells go it’s not the ugliest in the market and the up and down lights add to the security and the aesthetics of the unit. All in all I think the Eufy is a quality product that equals Ring in features but doesn’t demand a recurring Subscription which means after 12 month the Eufy is actually better value too.

I wanted a doorbell with a camera and was going to buy a Ring version. I then discovered the Eufy, and I really like it. The camera is excellent and I can record any events on a SIM card. The quality of the product is great too!

A dissapointment
It's a very good doorbell even better if the battery lasted longer than 8 or 9 days the battery really let's it down it was ridiculous how the battery quickly runs out although in the information it states last 4 months or longer but definitely not the case which is a shame as its a good doorbell with no subscription needed so unfortunetly had to return

Good for the money and free storage
Works well. Struggled with setting it up. Still need to get through chime and doorbell working. Good vision. A bit of a delay before the video appears. Need to push the bell confidently or it doesnt ring which appears to be a common problem with these. However definitely value for money especially as data can be stored.

The motion detection feature on the Chime does not play on the chime itself. Instead, it sends a message to your phone when motion is detected. The Chime Snooze feature can be used to temporarily silence all alerts, including motion and doorbell rings, but it cannot be configured to silence motion alerts only. If you want to receive motion alerts on your phone without the chime sound, you would need to manually turn off motion alerts on the Chime.

It works without a homebase and you can use either your phone for ringing or a plugin chime or can use both.
