The Elmdon Deep Ortho Small Double no turn mattress features a firmer Supercoil Plus unit that gives you extra support as you sleep. The sprung interior is complemented with layers of soft cushioning to maximise comfort as you sleep. The Elmdon is finished with a striking beautiful patterned damask fabric on the sleeping surface. Pattern design may vary.

It's hard to give an exact weight limit for beds and mattresses, as it depends on how they're used, including how often, whether someone sits on the edge regularly, and the type of base it's on. That said, most domestic bed bases are tested up to around 18 stone (114 kg), and our mattresses are designed to support similar weights when used as recommended.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Argos Home Elmdon Open Coil Deep Ortho Kingsize: All mattresses have some “new product” smell associated with them. Any odour of this kind will normally dissipate within a few days, especially if left to air before fitting sheets and bedding, but the mattress filling which tends to have the strongest odour when new is foam and particularly memory foam.
The Elmdon mattress you are enquiring about does not contain any foam so you should not notice a strong smell once the mattress has been unpacked and placed in position for a short while.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Argos Home Elmdon Open Coil Deep Ortho Small Double Mattress: It would be hard to advise how this would compare with your foam mattress because foams come in a variety of grades with different firmness ratings.
The Elmdon range mattresses are designed to provide a good level of support and, although there is no universal measure of firmness for mattresses, this mattress is described as medium firm feel.
I would not expect this mattress to be very susceptible to dipping/sagging although all mattresses, regardless of the filling type, will exhibit a small amount of settlement within the first few weeks/months of use.
