Bought this one to replace the old one which was still under warranty. I received the cash because Amazon only had reconditioned one not new ones. This keeps my husband,74 yr old, content fishing all over the world. He can no longer go fishing because of a stroke, but he can manage very well on this, so he is very happy. The resolution is amazing! Luckily the batteries require charging after a couple of hours or I’d never see him!

I bought this a week ago and so far it hasn't been a disappointment. If it could improve i would say the battery could be better in other words longer than 1.5 hours play mode. Apart from that fantastic.

Step up from Quest 2
I bought this a couple of weeks ago. I already own a quest 2. The graphics are certainly sharper and I haven't noticed as much blurriness in my field of view as i did on the quest 2. It seems to hold the frame rate well and not have as much jitteriness. The pass through resolution is significantly better but strangely not as sharp as the generated images. The sample mixed reality experience really shows what is possible. In the past I've enjoyed playing bowling on a wii and the vr bowling is fantastic especially against an opponent. Is it worth it if you have a quest 2 already? depends on the value you put on sharper graphics!

VR - A truly spectacular experience, otherworldly!
I've been waiting for VR for a long, long time. Though I've been gaming since the early 90s and have followed the progress of Jaron Lanier and John Cormack for decades...----- Over 20 years I've waited for the moment when VR was a lot more affordable, impressive and tackled fatigue/nausea better. ----- I am not only happy, but noticeably impressed by the quality, creativity and usefulness of the Meta Quest 3.----- Gaming: Skyrim VR is an incredible experience with mods. Flight and driving/racing sims are an entirely new world of immersion. ----- TV/Movies: Watching films directly from your computer, from services like Amazon Prime, Netflix or physical media. Is incredible! You can make it look like you're sitting in a cinema with a HUGE screen. You can wear the headset paired with high quality headphones, I use Beyerdynamics DT 900 Pro X headphones which have crystal clear clarity. ----- Art/Decorating: This is pretty nifty... You can use some of the mixed reality apps to use stencils to paint murals on walls or learn how to draw on paper. ----- That's just in the first week... Imagine what I'll discover in the next years!----- QoL Upgrades: I had to buy an extra cable that cost £20 on Amazon, which is a 5m VR cable(specifically for the Meta Quest 3 / Pico headsets) with a charging pass-through, With a few strategically placed cable nail clips on the wall you can barely tell you have a wire plugged in and you can use it for longer. This means you can play your Steam VR games with a powerful computer through the headset. This is vital for lower latency, improved resolution and general performance. Although you can use the wireless comfortably if you use Virtual Desktop and Wireless with a WiFi-6 router if setup correctly. ----- Also, although I use a desk fan and a wired cable, I will likely obtain the "BOBOVR S3 Pro Super Strap" as well which comes with more comfortable head support, a head fan for cooling and an extra battery so when I'm not in the house it can last longer.----- The battery life that comes alone standard isn't great for those who like to play more than a few hours at a time, but still enough to get in a few hours before having to charge, hence why I went wired straight away as I enjoy longer sessions than your average punter.----- PC Specs:----- CPU ~ AMD Ryzen 9 5900X 3.7 GHz 12-Core----- RAM ~ G.Skill Trident Z RGB 2x16 GB DDR4-3600 CL16----- GRAPHICS ~ PNY GeForce RTX 3080 Revel Triple Fan LHR 12GB----- So far I've had no problem with Assetto Corsa, American Truck Simulator, Warthunder, SkyrimVR and IL-2 Sturmovik. They all run great with high settings. Not the most powerful PC for VR but still packs a punch for a 6 year old PC.

The Meta Quest 3 battery generally lasts 2 to 3 hours, but this can vary depending on usage. We do have a few tips to optimize battery life:
Keep software updated
Always make sure that your device is using the latest version of software. When there is a new software release, your Meta Quest headset will update automatically when connected to Wi-Fi and turned on. You can also manually check for updates in Settings.
Maximize battery life
Like all lithium-ion batteries, Meta batteries age and lose capacity over time and with usage. For good battery lifetime capacity, we recommend using your device until the battery level is below 50% before recharging. If you need to store your device for a long time without use, we recommend leaving the battery charged to about 50% and keeping the device at room temperature. Avoid storing your device in hot or cold environments.
Use the provided charger
When charging your Meta Quest headset, use the charger that was included in the box. While you may be able to charge your headset's battery with chargers from other devices, your headset and its included charger were designed and tested to work optimally together and to maximize the performance of your headset.
If you're having trouble with getting your charger to fit correctly in a wall outlet, you may need to adjust the position of the grounding pin.
Keep the magnetic pins clean
The magnetic pins on the charging dock must be dry to avoid damage to the headset, controllers and charging dock. Use a dry cloth to wipe away any moisture on the magnetic pins.
It's not possible or advised to physically remove the internal battery from the headset as it's an integrated component but if you have any issues with your battery or device, you can always get in touch with our support team via our website, we'd be happy to help!

To clarify, the Meta Quest 3 does not include a separate glasses spacer in the box. Instead, it features a built‑in depth adjustment mechanism within the facial interface. By pressing the buttons inside the headset, you can slide the facial interface forward to create extra room. This provides up to four spacing options, which are designed to accommodate most glasses frames.

I can advise that the Meta Quest 3 512GB All-In-One Mixed Reality Headset doesn't support a connection to physical media, however, 3D movies can be viewed if a compatible digital file is uploaded to the headset or streamed via Plex.
