Great reading experience and nice quality device
Got this probably almost a year ago but it's been amazing the whole time. Battery life is amazing and the colours are subtle but give a nice warmth and life to books rather than just plain black and white. Reading experience and loading books onto it using a phone or PC is a super smooth experience. Would definitely recommend it.

Perfect E-Reader for me
Bought this for myself for Christmas and it is exactly as described & what I wanted! I'm obsessed. The color is not as washed out as people say but it's not going to be as vibrant as your phone. However, I think that's the joy in it. the device is very responsive and quick when turning pages and highlighting. Battery life so far is good!!

So much nicer than a kindle!
I've been considering getting an e-reader for a while and I eventually picked this. It's just so nice. The screen is amazing (colour e-ink is witchcraft, I love it). I have small hands and this fits really neatly. The power button is in the perfect place, the screen is really responsive to touch. The backlight changes to more yellow in the evening and it's really easy to change the brightness so perfect for in bed. Friends with kindles have commented that the menus are laid out much better than on their kindles. There are no adverts on the lock screen without you having to pay for an upgrade! Take that, amazon! I love the overdrive integration. It works really neatly. I've been able to borrow ebooks from the library with no trouble and it's much better reading on this than on my phone. Instapaper is also fantastic for reading online articles. So many neat little features! Adding DRM-free ebooks from your computer over USB is easy, although I struggled to get the bluetooth to cooperate. Not a problem for me though.

The Kobo Clara Colour is very much like the Kindle Paperwhite in that you can read comfortably anywhere, day or night, without struggling to see the screen.
Kobo Clara Colour uses E Ink Kaleido 3, which supports colour e-ink while still maintaining the paper-like readability of traditional e-ink screens. It includes ComfortLight PRO, which adjusts brightness and colour temperature to reduce eye strain, especially in low light.
The device are equipped with front lighting that allows you to read in the dark without external light and non-glare e-ink screen.

“ The Kobo Clara Colour e-reader does not natively support Google Play Books or direct integration with Google Drive, meaning you can't directly access or download books from Google Play Books on the device. You can sideload books to the Clara Colour by plugging it into a computer via USB-C and dragging and dropping files, but you'll need to ensure the files are in a supported format, such as EPUB. ”

After contacting our suppliers they have advised for Kobo Clara Colour 16GB Wi-Fi E-Reader - Black.
As it is a colour screen we do not believe you can reverse the background to white text-on-black background. However, it does have a brightness option that can be reduced when in low-light conditions, like reading at night etc.

I can confirm that the Kobo Clara Colour 16GB Wi-Fi E-Reader can support some Libby ebooks using the built in Overdrive feature. However, not all books are compatible with Kobo and audiobooks and magazines are not supported.
