Great for library loans
Bought this so that I could borrow ebooks from my local library in UK. Downloaded fast via wifi. Like the dark mode for night time which doesn't disturb husband when the lights are out. Simple to use. Wish I had bought one ages ago. Much prefer it to another well known brand.

so handy on the train
got this about 6 months ago and it’s so great for reading while in transit or in bed at night with the lights off. i exclusively use overdrive for library books so it works great and is really cost effective since i only had to buy the ereader and no books! love it

Great product
Very clear screen - effectively adjusts brightness according to background - much less intense than phone light. Easy to use and comfortable to hold (even more so with the cover from Kobo). Can also download library books.

Excellent value for money
I was torn between a kindle and kobo and decided on a kobo due to the price and great previous reviews. I was very happy with my decision and for the price I’m impressed with the features eg, connected dictionary in multiple languages, brightness/natural light feature. A nice light device that’s a great size too. I thought I would never like an e-reader but I can truly say it is a game changer and I would definitely recommend

After contacting our suppliers they have advised for the Kobo Clara BW 16GB Wi-Fi E-Reader - Black.
This depends on the eBook and where/how it was purchased or downloaded, due to something called Digital Rights Management.
If the eBooks were purchased through the Kobo Store and are linked to their Kobo account, simply logging into the same Kobo account on their new device and syncing will automatically download all their purchased eBooks to the new device.
For eBooks not purchased through Kobo, or for transferring files directly, they can connect their Kobo devices to a computer and copy DRM-free e-pub or pdf files from the old Kobo to the new Kobo.
If some eBooks have DRM protection, removing DRM is necessary to transfer files between different Kobo accounts or to another device.
