Great e-reader - compact and light
The main reason I chose a Kobo is to borrow and read books from my local library something that’s not available on Kindles in the UK. So far I’m very impressed with its functionality although the web browser not working - don’t really need this but might be an issue for some. You need to buy a case/cover for this which is an extra expense but on the whole I’m really impressed with the readability.

Kobo for the win!
I was looking for an ereader to mainly side load my own docs and read the occaisional book from the various options online, but didn't didn't want to buy into the Amazon ecosystem after having had a Kindle for a while. The Kobo was the most obvious choice. I've been using it for a few weeks now and i'm not disappointed, it's great!. Loading and buying books is simple. The display looks fantastic and its font and brightness/colour options are excellent too. Overall very happy chappy!

Great eBook reader
Really happy with Kobo BW, I intentionally went for the Black&White version vs Colour after watching reviews. The text clarity on this reader is great, the battery lasts a long time (still have not recharged it after weeks of usage!).

Better than a Kindle
Bought this recently to replace a Kindle. Very pleased with it - screen is at least as good as the Kindle, and the navigation controls are much better. Kobo website seems to have a good selection of books.

Great little e reader
Absolutely delighted with my new Kobo Clara e reader, this one is to replace my old Kobo which I have had for 14 years which came a bit unresponsive, the new one is very responsive has adjustable back light and other improvements I am well pleased.

After contacting our suppliers they have advised for the Kobo Clara BW 16GB Wi-Fi E-Reader - Black.
This depends on the eBook and where/how it was purchased or downloaded, due to something called Digital Rights Management.
If the eBooks were purchased through the Kobo Store and are linked to their Kobo account, simply logging into the same Kobo account on their new device and syncing will automatically download all their purchased eBooks to the new device.
For eBooks not purchased through Kobo, or for transferring files directly, they can connect their Kobo devices to a computer and copy DRM-free e-pub or pdf files from the old Kobo to the new Kobo.
If some eBooks have DRM protection, removing DRM is necessary to transfer files between different Kobo accounts or to another device.
