A bit dissatisfied
Thought it was good storage capacity for the price. However, the day after I purchased this, you reduced the price by £21. I was very annoyed. Also, I felt fooled/tricked into thinking this was an SSD with the latest USB-C port and cable, it is not. It's the older and slower HDD with a USB-A cable connector and also a unique port/cable fitting on the actual product. This product is definitely more for PS4. I also thought I would be able to store my video clips and screenshots on this aswell as games, but I was wrong. It's okay for PS4 Game storage(the only reason I've kept it) but it's basically useless for anything else. You can transfer PS5 games on here but can't play them because of speed limitations. You must transfer the PS5 games back to your internal M.2 SSD to be able to play them. Probably slightly faster to do this rather than having to delete an unused game to free up storage space and then re-downloading the game at a later date from the playstation store when you want to play it again. Not very ideal. Personally I wanted the WD BLACK 8TB internal M.2 SSD for my PS5 Pro but that comes with a hefty price tag of more than the PS5 Pro itself lol.. £700! 😳 crazy. This will do until i am able to upgrade.

Format the Drive: First, plug your Seagate Game Drive into one of the USB ports on your PS5. Go to Settings > Storage > USB Extended Storage and select Format as USB Extended Storage1.
Save Media: Once formatted, you can save your screenshots and video clips. Go to the Media Gallery on your PS5 dashboard, select the media you want to transfer, and choose Copy to USB Drive1.
This process will allow you to store your media externally, freeing up space on your PS5’s internal storage.

From the information we have available, I can confirm this Seagate 5TB Game Drive can be used to store PS5 games, but you cannot play the games from the drive. You do have to transfer back to the PS5 to play. But you can play PS4 games directly from the Seagate storage.
