Solid printer for both documents and photograps
I'd like to give it 4.5 / 5. This printer replaced a much older model I'd had for years. I like the print quality and speed and scanning functions. This was much easier to setup compared to its predecessor. The scanning software although better is still a little bit fiddly for me. I haven't tried the "auto choose". I do a lot of b&w printing with some colour and then colour photo prints on photo paper. I find the multi-tank and additional extra large black ink tank maximises ink economy. There should be a function that identifies whether a page is b&w or colour and print accordingly.

Canon PIXMA TS8750 - A Review
My HP Printer of 12 years plus service decided not to pick paper up and so a new printer was needed. The HP and Epson printers had very mixed reviews and so I decided on a Canon PIXMA TS8750 - the spec looked good and met my needs. Ordering and delivery from Argos five star. Printer superbly boxed. Setting up totally different from 12 years ago - no print manuals, discs etc But take your time and follow the touch screen instructions and you will get it up and running - the only problem you may have is a weak signal but that is dependent on the siting of your router Print quality very good Only reservation is the cost of the refills and how long the cartridges will last. No way of knowing at the moment - we will see

Excellent Printer
I bought this a month ago to replace an older printer that had finally 'given up the ghost'. I looked online at a number of review sites and all rated this model very highly. I checked with Argos, it was in stock and I collected the same day. So far, it has exceeded my ecpectations. In my opinion, this is the perfect home printer.

I can confirm that the Pixma TR8550 uses CLI-581XL & PGI-580XL ink in the different colours. The TS8750 uses PGI-530PGBK, CLI-531BK, CLI-531C, CLI-531M, CLI-531Y & CLI-531GY.
Your current ink would not be compatible with the Canon PIXMA TS8750 Wireless Inkjet Printer.

“ The TS8750 has two paper trays with two gsms; the front facing cassette is for plain paper up to 105gsm and the rear feed can take photo paper up to 300gsm. The printer also has a card stock media function amongst other supported media types. ”
