Biscuit crumbs under the seats, dust in the air vents, wrappers stuck down the side of the handbrake. This handheld car vacuum plugs into your 12V socket and sorts out the mess without needing mains power. The flexible hose stretches into awkward corners and the extendable crevice tool reaches tight gaps between seats and into door pockets. Cyclonic action spins dirt away from the filter so suction stays strong as you clean. Comes with a brush for upholstery and a narrow nozzle for intricate bits. I bought it as a Christmas present for my husband. He really impressed with the Black + Decker 12V Auto Flexi Car Vacuum. It’s compact, easy to use, and has strong suction for its size. Good solution for cleaning the cabin
Good little vacuum. Suction is impressive and it is very lightweight. It does come in handy if you have to spend a little bit of time in the car and better than twiddling your thumbs! The waste capacity is a little small but that is to be expected and if there is a lot of build up, you will be emptying it quite frequently. The power lead is long but no thought has gone in to storage of it. Perhaps a retractable cord would have been a neat solution with the trade off being adding to the size of the device. When folded up the hose detaches a bit too easily which makes handling and carrying a bit clumsy. I would add that it would most likely be used for cleaning the dash and cabin area because it would be far more efficient to use a big appliance like those in the petrol stations. The attachments are a bit flimsy and limited in their usage and it would have been good to have something flexible and thin that could get into the tighter and more difficult to reach spaces. All in all an effective tool but with a few minor annoyances.

Decent suction and a great concept.
I bought this because it was getting difficult to connect the Dyson to multiple extension cords and drag it out in the rain and this had a really good design and a better alternative to the hand held cordless option. Though it's suction isn't as strong as the Dyson, it does a pretty good job and reaches all the hard to reach areas. Also when I went in store to collect it, the person who gave it to me also had one and was very helpful and advised me to be careful with the hoover head. I'm glad he did because I was a lot more gentle with it and it does feel more on the delicate side.

12v Car Vacuum
There are 2 models of this product. They look the same, but one is plugged in to the cigar socket (which I bought from Argos) and the other, not sold by Argos, is operated by a rechargeable battery. That one may have more power but is nearly double the price. This has very poor instructions - done by photos alone - so it took me a while to work out what the buttons are for and how to unclip the hode - it just pulls out. It does have a long power cable, so will stretch to anywhere in the car. It has two attachments. The brush type one has a flip over brush, which can be easily unflipped! The other is a nozzle. Although the power doesn't seem to be great, it is effective and managed to clean up most grass and soil . I don't know how much it flattened my car battery, but the instructions do suggest not to use it whilst the engine is running. My car started fine afterwards and the battery doesn't seem to have suffered. The cleaner isn't bulky but doesn't seem to be a great shape like a more normal car vac, but I guess this hose type is better at getting onto crevices. It's not as good as a domestic mains model, but is probably more convenient to use.

Mains leads a bit too long
I have had a few vacuum cleaners bought from Amazon that stopped working after a short time. This one is very good although the mains lead is quite a bit too long.
