My 7000 prosteam 8kg is great for our 2 person household, with its different programme length, spin speed and eco options. It seems to be economical on water use, adapting to load size and type. Haven’t tried the steam yet. Very happy so far.

Does what I wanted
I'm so glad I used the Which review. I've got a machine that washes well in a short time. Has lots of features that I may or may not use. Most importantly for me its has the things I want. Delicate wash not too noisy great.

Interesting programmes and well thought out - generally very good. Have had a few times when clothes have no spun as they should. Have found that despite placing washing pods in machine correctly the inside of them seem to end in the rubber of the door at short wash and even have not dissolved properly and ended up like a guey mess on clothing. Would be interested to know why. Overall however happy with the machine and clothes usually are well washed.

Nice but with some reservations
Decent array of wash programmes but problems with spin phase on short cycles - gets stuck on 3 minutes remaining. One of the plastic filler caps to replace transit bolts would not fit its hole even with extreme force applied. The design of the end of the drain hose is very poor indeed and seems to have been intended for larger stand pipes than what we have in UK. I had to fit an additional hose bracket to make secure and prevent it coming out of stand pipe.

I'm Really Pleased I Brought This!
I had to get a new washing machine, as my previous one from the Electrolux Group, died on me. That lasted 16 years, so I wanted an EG brand. Looking at AEG, this fitted the bill nicely. It's a quality machine. Very quiet. Washes brilliantly at 30° as well as my previous machine at 40°. Good choice of programmes. I've even used the 20° just to refresh items. The best thing is the steam function. Everything comes out virtually crease free. I love the variable spin options and the variable temperature options. I like this machine as with fabric softeners becoming thicker, my old machine wouldn't dispense it. This one does. The more I use this machine, the more I love it. If it lasts as long as my Zanussi, it's a bonus! I recommend this washing machine with no hesitation.

To check whether water inlet flow is normal, we would advise you to note:
3–10 seconds: You should hear the inlet valve click and water begin to flow.
Up to 30 seconds: Still considered normal if the machine is checking sensors or adjusting the drum.
If no water enters after 1–2 minutes, the machine usually triggers an E10 water‑intake error, which AEG identifies as a fill problem.
