About this product
The Garden By Sainsbury's 300 White Solar String Light brings long-reach outdoor lighting that runs on sunshine alone. Three hundred white LEDs create sparkling ambience for patios, fences or draped through garden trees during summer evenings and camping weekends. The solar panel charges during the day, giving you up to eight hours of light once dusk arrives. Eight lighting functions let you switch between steady glow and twinkling patterns to suit the mood. No plugs or extension cables needed position the panel in sunlight and you're sorted.
The automatic dusk sensor switches the lights on when evening falls, so you don't have to remember. An onoff switch gives you manual control when you want to save charge or switch them off early. Includes a rechargeable AA battery and all three hundred LED bulbs in the box. The solar panel recharges the battery through the day a full charge needs around ten hours of direct sun. Lightweight construction makes them easy to move around or pack away for festivals and family trips.

Lights that don't light
Even though placed in ample sunlight would not charge. Removed and moved to another area without luck. Checked lead checked switches... no luck.. so removed and binned. Not impressed

The lights and length of cable are perfect for providing light in the garden / outdoors. The main thing with regards to the installation of the lights is making sure the solar / battery pack isn't shaded from the sun. With up to four hours of sunlight the lights have been on for 6 hours or more and look superb along the fence on the edge of my garden. There are several modes available with the lights either on constantly or a variety of flashing sequences, the lights come on automatically at dusk and stay on until battery power is depleted ( no 6 hour on 18 hour off timer option fitted). Very happy with everything about the solar lights

These lights are suitable for outdoor use but it is recommended that these lights are stored indoors in winter months. 10 hours of full sun light is required to fully charge battery, meaning they are less suitable for use during winter.
