Kensington SmartFit Laptop Riser - Black

Didn't know how much I needed until it arrived!

Easy to assemble and sturdy once fully assembled. Has been used in my household for a variety of activities; typing with a chrome book or laptop at a desk, watching videos using a galaxy tab on my knee and even just using a smartphone in bed! Very stable in all situations, this is a piece of equipment that will get a lot of use.

Great for ensuring you have the correct DSE set up

When this first arrived i thought it was a bit flimsy but actually once its put together its very study. There are several height adjustments you can make to ensure when working you have the screen at the correct height. Its definitely just for laptops. You can't adjust the angle so it's no good for tablets really. But it worked well and the cable management looks pretty good although i haven't used that bit yet.

Very handy Laptop Riser

Laptop Riser was very easy to put together, I have been looking for one for a while and this came up and I'm really pleased. It came with easy instructions how to put together, only need a few screws, it's got 4 different high adjustments, mouse sits neatly and away from desktop computer.

Great idea but a little flimsy

I got this stand for my son’s Chromebook. He suffers with dyspraxia so benefits from things being at a slight slope for writing and typing. The idea of it is brilliant but I just find this one to be a little on the flimsy side. His Chromebook isn’t heavy at all but I feel like the stand is at its weight limit. You can adjust the height, he’s on the lowest so I can only imagine it gets worse the higher you have it. Does make his desk look nice and tidy and has stopped him using the Chromebook and a surface as it is now raised.

Very useful makes using laptop more comfortable

This makes working with your laptop so much more comfortable and easy, there is height adjustment at the back so depending on what height you need to it to be to suit you its very easy to adjust. You can also charge your laptop whilst using this as it has space for your adaptor. I found this comfortable sitting at my table working, my teenagers used this for homework whilst sitting on their beds and found it easier to see and use the laptop without having to place ithe laptop directly on their laps to use.

The Kensington laptop stand was very easy to assemble, the instructions were easy to follow, and the stand took less than 5 minutes to put together. Perfect for everyday use. I’ve particularly found it handy in the kitchen when following recipes, keeping the laptop out of my prep area and at a much better vantage point

Great home office accessory

This is a review about the Kensington SmartFit laptop riser, a device that raises your laptop off of the desk or table to a more comfortable viewing position. Kensington have been making bits and pieces for laptops and computers for years so they know their business and they seem to have come up with a good and useful device here. The riser isn't much to look at but that's the beauty of it, once your laptop is in place it's a functional bit of kit but without it just is empty space that you can easily move about or store things under, like a keyboard and mouse that you'd have to use when using this riser. Putting it together is very easy and straightforward and configuring it for you is very easy with the smartfit system, you place your hand on the card and with the middle finger on a colour you set the platform to that height and that is, so Kensington say, it's the perfect height for you so you got optimal ergonomics. That's from them, from me, altering between family members using the colour codes does make the use of a laptop on this very comfortable. The laptop rests against two raised sections so it's not going to slip forwards and there feels like anti slip stuff on the base the laptop sits on too. Under the platform you can route a power cable so that it doesn't just hang down but it's important to note that this is designed for laptops up to 15.6' Three people in our household have used this quite a lot over the last few weeks and it's very quickly become something that you don't not want to use.
