plump & cool
soft, plump & lightweight. it's cool to the touch. seems to have some effect in cooling as when my head/face heats up (from hot flushes), the heat gradually dissipates from that area of pillow. whereas my old pillow just felt hot. using it with a pillowcase to create a smooth surface & to not have to keep washing the pillow itself all the time.

Slightly flawed design but good pillow
Couldn't quite decide if 3 or 4 stars for this but overall good pillow. It's nice and squishy and the casing is definitely cool to touch BUT it's not removable so feels you have to put a pillow case on which then means you lose the cooling effect. Bit of a design flaw I think but generally it IS cooling, if you don't use a case...

wonderful product
the copper pillow is a wonderful and very reasonably priced pillow that really helps with arthritis and joint pain. It is so good I have bought a second one for my cat to have in her bed as she is elderly and arthritic now and she sleeps much better too

Works.. without a pillow case
This works beautifully, but I haven’t realised you can’t use a pillowcase, which means you have to wash and dry the entire pillow to clean it.

A pillowcase will not reduce the cooling effect at all. The protector might. You could try getting a cooling mat, which slides under the pillowcase, on your old pillow first, just to see if that would suit, before paying for anything more expensive. The mat would also protect the pillow to an extent.
