I bought this recently. I used to have a black and decker. This is amazing, trust you cannot go wrong. Light weight, cuts through the hedge so well. Powerful, safety cord. Highly recommend. And only £60. It’s better than anything I’ve used previously

Cheap replacement hedge trimmer
Bought as a replacement for my Ryobi. Performed well on its first use as I would have expected. It feels like value for money but time will tell as to how long it will last. Cuts just as well as my previous more expensive hedge trimmers. Would benefit from a hedge sweep accessory like Ryobi's.

No replacement power cable available
Good product. Light weight. Detachable power cable is useful in the event of accidentally cutting the cable. However I checked availability of a direct replacement cable only to find that McGregor does not do a replacement cable and their suppliers don’t actually have the replacement cable to purchase. Hence the four star rating. If they are listening, please organise cable replacement option.

A really good hedge trimmer. Wary replacing ours as we’ve had it years and it was a black and decker and excellent. But this one really measures up, cuts with precision, not very noisy and our extensive hedges are now in beautiful shape again. Really pleased and would recommend. A very good size too for the price compared to others seeming smaller.

This was the first hedge trimmer I came across when I was searching for a replacement similar to my old one and as soon as I took it out of the box it felt quality. The main difference to my old one was that the old one was 550w and the new one was 600w - the extra 50w seemed to make a big difference. The specifications suggested it was the same weight as more old one but it felt more balanced/lighter. The power cord is detachable which makes storage easier. The only negative is that I thought the blade cover was a bit flimsy - luckily I had kept the one off my old trimmer which was sturdier.

Not too Shabby!
Early days yet but I'm.really pleased with the performance and price of this item. It may not be the lightest trimmer available but the 60 cm blade makes it easier to trim anextensive conifer.
