About this product
Putting up garden furniture or drilling pilot holes? The Challenge 500W Corded Impact Drill powers through wood, steel and masonry at home. It's a hammer and impact drill combined to tackle different materials. You'll drill accurate depths every time using the depth stop handle. The auxiliary handle keeps things steady when you're working overhead or at awkward angles. Forward and reverse rotation lets you drive screws in or back them out. A lock-on switch reduces hand fatigue during longer drilling sessions.
The 500W motor delivers consistent performance throughout your project. You'll swap between hammer and regular drilling modes to suit the material. Control is easy with the keyed chuck that grips drill pieces securely. It's designed for DIY enthusiasts who want reliable power without battery concerns. Hammer drill
Bought this as a quick fit as my old drill went bust, very pleased I did, drilled every hole in brickwork no problem. When I got it out of box it felt a nice heavy weight so knew motor would be good, yes, pleased I bought it.

Good product easily repaid its cost on first use.
I bought this to drill nine 10mm holes to fix 4" x4" timber gate posts into masonry with 10mm wall bolts. Using the hammer drill setting it easily did the job with drilling into the brickwork with a correct 10mm "multi purpose wood and masonry" tipped drill bit. Even had a reverse feature when the bit got a bit stuck while drilling one of the holes and was easily able to then extract what elsewise would have been stuck. This is a good basic no frills product for the price and easily repays the cost on first use.

Great basic drill
For what I paid ,the drill is a really good buy, I only needed it for a drill stand as all my others are cordless and a different chuck size. For it's intended purpose ,it is great but I would think it would tackle big jobs to well, who knows, I may be wrong

Driller killer
Cheap but not nasty.
I wasn't expecting much from this drill because it was a cheap as chips. I mean 13 quid. What a bargain, - how bad can it be I thought. My previous drill didn't have the chuck key and the drill bits kept coming loose when you drilled into brick which was a bit of a pain. This one, though with the chuck key worked a treat. Straight through brick no problem. To be honest the plastic enclosure and buttons, and front handle look like they are made of plasticene but come on - it's 13 quid!!! Not sure how long it will last, but for me who only has to drill the occaisional few holes every time her-indoors nags me to do another DIY job, I'm happy.
