Decent Printer, but could be much better
I purchased this printer as I needed an A3 printer scanner, and this printer continuesly came up in my searches. I've used Canon printers/scanners for some time now and I am happy with this brand. This printer is very nice and prints good resolution and the speed of the print is not bad either. However I do not print much, and when I do, it is generally documents and not pictures. For some reason, I did not pick up that this printer is a printer only, and not a printer scanner, so I've had to buy a seperate Canon scanner, which is not nearly as good as the scanners that come as part and a printer scanner. This printer would be perfect if it also had a scanner, especially if it was an A3 scanner capacity. I generally use USB cables to connect to my scanner, but will set this one us over Wi-Fi, so that I can print from my phone and/or tablet, something that so far I've never been able to do. This printer is compatable with windows 10 and 11, I have yet to see if this is also the case with android devices.

Happy after 10+ years of use
It replaces one of the identical model we bought over 10 years ago and eventually became problematic. We used the old one for A3 family trees and for hight quality A4 photoprints. We have always been impressed with the quality of the prints, which is why we opted to continue with the experience. Inks are not cheap but we are happy to pay for quality.

Excellent Printer
I bought this to replace its 11 year old previous version the PIXMA iX6500. This had given great service and always produced good results. So far this new 6850 model seems as good and in some instances better. It is faster and the ink tanks allow purchase of larger capacity replacements. Lets hope its as reliable and long lasting as the old one.

Ive owned the Canon PIXMA iX6850 A3 Wireless Photo Printer for several months, and it has handled A3 canvas sheets in the 260gsm range quite reliably. The results are generally good, and on occasion I adjust the print settings to suit the specific image. For the best results when printing on canvas, select Matte Photo Paper as the media type and use the High print quality setting.
