Easy to setup and use.
I bought this as I needed to scan a lot of documents and just taking photos of documents wasn't very good quality. This printer/scanner was very easy to setup.

Good Features and decent quality Inkjet printer
I decided to buy this to replace an aging Epson printer The printer can be connected with a USB "A" cable (not supplied) or Wi-Fi. It comes with one black and one colour cartridge. Once installed, the black cartridge only showed about 70% capacity. The actual setup with regards to installing to a PC was slightly frustrating. as the instructions you get with the printer are poor to say the least. I resorted to you tube guides and online instructions. Once the PC has installed the software (for example the scanner software), There is no mention that you need to restart the PC in order for the software to show up. This did frustrate me at the time and maybe it should have been second nature to restart the PC but I dialogue box saying "Restart PC" would have been handy. In Operation, The printer is fairly quiet and quick when printing mono prints. The quality is good - better than my old Epson (but that was over 5 years old). Printing of colour photographs is very good in the high quality mode on glossy paper. You can print or scan double sided thanks to the duplex paper tray. Printer ink costs can be decreased if you subscribe to Canon on a monthly basis. So far I am quite happy

Nice printer
Printer works well once setup. The “getting started” instructions are misleading and the app is unnecessary. Once I found the WiFi setup the rest was easy.

Poor Features
I bought this to replace my. HP Printer which I had for many years. Sadly the Cannon can’t cope with printing on both sides and blocks up the machine in its effort do so! It takes many minutes to get started and finds it almost impossible to do so, taking at least 5 minutes to print a single copy, in painful slow motion’ I think I have accidentally bought the Tortoise Edition of the Cannon Family .

The printer seems fine and does what it is supposed to do. Two points - 1. I know seems very expensive, but then the printer was cheap. 2. The sheet feed does not support two sided scanning and it has to be done manually a side at a time.
