From the information we have available, I can advise the Thrustmaster TH8S Shifter Add-On is designed to be versatile and compatible with a wide range of setups. It features dual connectors (USB and DIN), making it compatible with all Thrustmaster Force Feedback racing wheels on consoles and with any racing wheel on PC.
However, the HORI Racing Wheel APEX does not have a DIN connector, which is typically required for direct connection to the shifter. Therefore, the TH8S Shifter Add-On cannot be directly connected to the HORI Racing Wheel APEX.

NOT COMPATIBLE WITH 458 WHEEL!
Bought them as a bundle and tried them with both Grid Legends and Forza Horizon 5. Both of which are compatible games for the shifter and wheel. It does not work. Its not compatible with the 458 wheel. The Thrustmaster website says its only compatible with force feedback wheels and needs to be plugged into the wheel. I will keep it till I get a force feedback wheel. Hopefully this helps people to not make the same mistake.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Thrustmaster TH8S Shifter Add-On For Racing Wheel: Yes this will work with the 458 wheel, the shifter just needs to be plugged in to the console.
