Purchase as a Mothers Day gift. Great compact CD player. Simple button control. The sound quality not the best. So suitable for a bedroom space. Does have the style of the Revival Petite radio. So if you are purchasing for the other functions. I would opt for the Revival 2 They are amazing!

Great product
Great radio, just what I was looking for. Small enough to sit on chest of drawers. Like the dimmer for the time. The cd player is ideal for me use upstairs whilst doing my cleaning.

All the functions
Has all the functions we wanted, although the sound quality is ok it is not as good as the larger iStream we use in the kitchen.

Good Little Radio
Always happy with the quality and design of Robert's radios. What I really like about this one is that is has physical buttons for the functions making it really easy to use (some of the other models have 'touchscreen'-like buttons which are difficult especially in the dark). It's nice having the option of radio, bluetooth or CD without any issue whatsoever. I only give it 4 stars because the sound quality is not as good as my other Robert's radio.

A little gem
I wanted a small unobtrusive radio/CD player that provides basic listening, and the Sound 49 can't really be bettered. It is modern yet traditional in design. It has as many features as are needed, the display is clear to read from a distance, and is easy to operate. The aerial is a thin wire which could present challenges in a weak DAB area, and the sound is not hi-fi but it is clear. As so often, Roberts has produced a delightful little system that has provided the answer to my needs. Bravo!

Our radios that include Bluetooth features only contain receivers - they can only receive Bluetooth signals from another device such as a smartphone or tablet. To stream music to headphones or a speaker via Bluetooth you require a separate Bluetooth transmitter. This would plug into the appropriate headphone or line out socket on the radio. We do not recommend a specific brand of Bluetooth transmitter; however, any that feature a 3.5mm headphone connection should work.
