The ULTRABOOST 1000A Jump Starter is suitable for engines up to 5L Petrol and 2L Diesel. The new boost button enables you to jump-start vehicles with completely depleted batteries. Safety features include reverse polarity protection, spark-free design and anti-spike keeping you and your vehicle safe during usage. The new compact design includes easy-reach battery clamps, an integrated torch and PD30W fast-charge power bank to recharge your devices on the go.

Everyone should get one.
I bought this in case I need to jump start the car. I haven't had to do this so can't comment on if it is any good . For peace of mind it might work should my car battery conk out. I think these things should be mandatory as it is quite simple to restart a car with a flat battery without hanging about for hours waiting for the AA to turn up.

My wife's car had been playing up recently and failed to start on a couple of occasions. A new battery didn't fix the fault so I bought one if these jumpstarter power banks whilst we get the fault diagnosed. I am very impressed that such a compact device can start a 1.6 diesel with no effort at all. I have had to use it 3 times over the last week or so and there's still plenty of charge left on the bar graph display.

After contacting our suppliers they have advised for the Ring 8000mAh Ultraboost Jumpstarter & Powerbank.
The powerbank/output is to charge a mobile phone or tablet.
Make sure the battery pack is charged up before use. Please plug the USB C lead into the hole marked input and the other end into a USB charger, a mobile phone charger for example.
For the RJS020 jump starter, Power Delivery charging is supported up to 30W. This means it can quickly recharge itself and also provide powerful charging for USB-C devices like laptops, tablets, and phones.
Press on/off button to start charging laptop from battery pack.
Plug the intelligent croc clip module into the main battery unit.
Connect the crocodile clips to the battery terminals, within 30 seconds of plugging the battery pack into the clamps.
Press the blue button and the green led should light on the intelligent croc clip module.
Start trying the ignition in 3 second bursts or less.
IF the green led flashes it means the battery voltage is low, you may still be able to get the vehicle to start by pressing the boost override button.
IF the green light is NOT lit at all, it means the battery voltage is low, you may still be able to get the vehicle to start by pressing the boost override button.

The supplier has advised the following for the Ring 8000mAh Ultraboost Jumpstarter & Powerbank:
“ RJS020 will go flat in a little over 400 days, so it will be half charged in approx. 200 days, and 75% charged after a few months.
I advise charging every month and after use. You can’t overcharge the battery pack.
Maybe put something on the calendar as a reminder to charge it. ”
