Burnt toast setting off the alarm again? This twin-pack of smoke alarms uses optical sensor technology to detect smoke and runs on 9V batteries, so you can fit them anywhere without mains wiring. Each has a hush button to silence nuisance alarms when you've overdone it with the grill or left the bathroom door open after a hot shower. Batteries last about three years, and sensors last ten. The test button lets you check they're working properly. They arrive with batteries included, so you can get them up and protecting your home straight away.
Ideal for getting coverage upstairs and downstairs without calling an electrician. The twin-pack gives you flexibility to place alarms where they're needed most. Works in most homes with standard ceiling or wall mounting. Fits hallways, landings, bedrooms and anywhere else you need reliable smoke detection. Easy to fit
Its simple to mount but its a smoke alarm - I hope I never have to find out how well it works!

Instructions font very small
Easy to install and very loud. One note of concern is the size of the writing on the instructions. I couldn’t read them properly even with a magnifying glass. In Oder to work out what the different types of bleep intervals meant I had to take a photograph and then blow it up. Still not ideal. I’m surprised there is even a font size this small. Smoke alarms save lives and should have easy to read instructions.

Recently bought two 🕑 of these to replace some old makes still up on the ceiling. Have bought these monitors before. They are easy to fit and have a loud bell, unlike some you can buy and are excellent. Would highly recommend them.

The battery is replaceable, but ease of replacement depends on the model design. Front-loading battery models can usually be changed in place, while rear-loading models may need to be twisted off the mounting plate first.

The supplier has advised for the Kiddie Smoke Alarm Twin Pack: The smoke alarm is powered by a 9V battery, a fresh battery should last for one year under normal operating conditions. The alarm will indicate a low battery warning when it needs to be replaced. This is noted on page 7 of the user’s guide.
