pet grooming/trimmer
A very sleek and great looking hair trimmer which works effortlessly even on the bigger jobs. Originally used it on my husky and was so impressed with the results I had to go bigger - I then used them on my horses mane and body trimming off the winter coat. Not only did i love it but so did the horse as it was so smooth and quiet my horse barely noticed and before you know it the job was done and there was even some battery life left. A very great addition to my everyday life.

Great quality from Wahl we come to expect!
Impressed with this item. Comes with 4 guards and I used the longest on the best part of my border terrier who can no longer tolerate being hand stripped. I used a number 3 on his legs and will later use the smaller clipper designed for pads. I really like that the smaller clipper is included, that it’s cordless and the digital display with how much run time there is left! Came with charge in the box for the bigger clipper to let me get straight to it. Lovely quality from wahl as always!

Lightweight and quiet and at a reasonable price
Lightweight and quiet and at a reasonable price, and there's plenty of attachments available to suit dogs of all hair lengths and types. We used the clippers on our medium haired Cavachon recently, and I was so pleased with how safe they felt and how quiet they operated. This product is high-quality, and the main clipper feels comfortable in the hand and the battery seems to last. Swapping the attachments over is quick and painless and would absolutely recommend this to any pet owner.

Great item
Great piece of kit for tidying up your pets while inbetween grooming appointments. Very easy to use and good precision for between the toes. Overall a good quality piece of equipment thats is super easy to set up and use.

Great clipper set, quiet and worked well.
Great clipper set - used on our little Boo and they were quiet enough to not scare her, but powerful enough to be able to get her clipped quickly and with no fuss. Can't say how good they'd be on a longer haired dog, but worked well for us and they do have an assortment of clipper heads. Both clippers are cordless and the large clipper has a display to show how much battery life is left, which is really useful.

Nice clippers
Nicely packed clippers, easily to keep everything together. Came with a combination of accessories which is amazing, depending on the growth of your dog. Got a main charger and a USB charger cable and a brush to clean when finished. My dog wasn't sure on the noise at first, but let me use it on her, cuts nicely.

Great pet clippers
These clippers are very easy to use, cordless makes it so much easier as no wire getting in the way. Just turn on and your ready to go, i have a small lomg haired dog and they cut their fur perfect, little ones are great for getting into their pawpads. I like how the bigger set comes with a little display for how much charge is left. Small easy storage case so nothing gets lost.

Barking Trimmer Bargin
This is a great bargain for trimming them dogo’s, my two dogs weren’t scared of the noise they made. It made trimming them so much easier and faster. With its sleek design and compact bag which hold them, it’s a great tool. Precision trimming on the ears, feet and around the bum, it made life so much better. Some very posh pooches.

Quality Clippers Ruined By Accessories
TL;DR – Quality clippers and trimmer from Wahl. Completely ruined by useless and shoddy accessories, inadequate instructions, two incompatible charger systems, and a poor storage case. A Set in name only, the guards detach from the clippers under the slightest pressure as there is no locking clip; each unit has a different, incompatible charger; the instructions are lacking important details, including essential maintenance information; the storage case is almost guaranteed to cause damage to critical parts. The Marketing Department at Wahl put together these items with no idea about the uses and specifications of the products, ending up with a Set that falls far below expectations and, frankly, is unfit for purpose. I cannot recommend this Set as it stands. Let’s start with the glaring issues with this Dog Grooming Set from Wahl. The “convenient” USB charging and included USB cable on the trimmer is negated by the inclusion of a 3-pin A/C adaptor for the clippers. Wahl state the clippers cannot be charged via USB, so you're stuck with two different charging systems in one box! This is extremely inconvenient. I also find it odd that the socket on both the clippers and the “updated” trimmer are old style, 2-pin types, rather than USB-C. In spite of this, both units charged quickly and fully with no problems. The pictorial instructions show the clippers having a progressive bar charge indicator, but this has been replaced with a numerical power indicator. The trimmer has a basic, red light/green light charge indicator, with warning flashes when only 10% power remains. The included soft shell case has been repurposed by Wahl. There are three pouches in the lid of the case, none of which are large enough for ANY of the items that come with this Set – even the smallest of the clippers’ and trimmer’s guard attachments are too large to fit. The 1.75m A/C adaptor and the 1.85m USB charging cable do not fit into these pockets. This means that everything is left to rattle around loose in the body of the case, tangling up in the cables, and banging together. There aren't even any retaining elastics or pouches in the main body of the case to keep all of the precision electrical items and fragile plastic accessories safe and secure. The trimmer is supplied with a rubber blade cover. This is omitted from the clippers. The purpose of this blade cover is to prevent the extremely sharp blades damaging anything else in the case and to prevent the blades themselves being broken, bent, or damaged by impact with hard objects (the other unit) in the storage case. Whilst other items and cables could be partially protected from the clippers’ blades by leaving a guard in place, this increases the likelihood of snapping the fragile guard teeth, as I know from personal experience of using many types of clippers over the decades. A cracked or broken guard is completely unusable, causing snags, pulls, and even cuts. So, you're left with a storage case stuffed full of 2 grooming instruments, five guards, 2 cleaning brushes, a 3-pin A/C adaptor, and a USB charging cable, rattling about loose, all with the potential for damage (either from the blades, or to the blades) all for the sake of the correct storage bag and blade protection. Additionally, the blades are coated in a thin layer of machine oil that transfers to anything it touches when the unit is unsecured. Without even coming to the review of the use of the product, it is my opinion that this is NOT a Grooming Set. It is a load of random stuff thrown in an unsuitable container on behalf of the Wahl Marketing Department. I have my dog (Westie X) groomed professionally by a qualified groomer. Dog grooming is a skill and an art, and requires patience and a knowledge and understanding of stress indicators in an animal that cannot explain their fears. A poor grooming experience can traumatise a dog, leading to behavioral problems and veterinary bills that far outstrip the perceived savings of DIY grooming. However, introducing your dog to grooming tools and allowing them to become accustomed to the noise and sensation whilst in your direct care can be beneficial if done properly. I would never attempt to fully groom my dog as I lack the skills to safely carry out the task. That being said: My dog does enjoy rolling in black, tarry, hedgehog poop, especially and annoyingly within 72 hours of being fully bathed and groomed – as was the case the very afternoon I received this Wahl Grooming Set. He was covered from the shoulder all along his back. As he is a white dog, this has always been difficult to remove; no amount of washing got rid of the stains, and the smell had to be concealed with doggy perfume for days. Set in hand, I attempted to make a better job of cleaning him up – after charging and oiling the units as per the instructions. At 15cm, the clippers rate 56dB the trimmer rates 76dB. The vibration of both units is minimal. Both units are light enough (147g and 253g) to allow prolonged use, even for one with arthritic hands. They are also both nicely balanced and comfortable to hold at all angles, as will be required when grooming a dog. However, the guards on the clippers have no locking clip whatsoever – even the guard on the trimmer has a locking clip! Sure enough, within 5 minutes of using the 3mm AND 6mm guards, each had been pulled off, or come loose at least twice. Prolonged use, with friction from the blades heating the plastic causing expansion, will inevitably make this problem worse. And when the guard detaches whilst you’re in the zone, your dog may end up with bald patches, or Phil Fodenesque tramlines! This is a major problem, especially as dogs have much thicker hair over a far larger surface area that is trimmed when it’s significantly longer than the human hair and beards that clippers and guards are required to tackle. Malfunctioning equipment can cause stress that may transfer to the dog being groomed, potentially causing future issues with grooming. The clippers themselves have adjustable cutting length settings on the handle above the power button. It is very stiff to operate initially, but eases with repeated use. The switch sets the blades at 1.6mm, 2.2mm, or 2.8mm, with a very strong locking button that has a ridge guard to prevent accidental activation. The switch is spring-loaded, meaning that accidental activation will set the blades to a higher length of cut – unlike the loss of a guard. This shows the quality of the units themselves, quality that is let down by poor accessories and storage. With regard to cleaning up my dog, despite fighting with loose and detaching guards – an annoyance that tripled the length of time of the task in hand – the Wahl clippers cut my dog’s hair cleanly. When I discarded the guards and used the clippers on the 2.8mm blade setting freehand around longer hair on his ears and face that had caught some muck, the task was much quicker, easier, and more efficient. However, being unable to use the virtually useless – or at least untrustworthy – guards meant that I was limited to cutting my dog’s hair to a length of 2.8mm over longer cuts. Additionally, I would expect a true Grooming Set to include a comb and a pair of scissors for tasks such as this, but these are missing from this so-called Set. On the plus side, using the Wahl clippers removed the hedgehog poop and all staining far more effectively than any other method. I would suggest that these clippers and trimmer would be ideal for safely removing knots and tangles, combining with brushing and combing – I would not trust them for an amateur to use to attempt a full groom of their dog. The pictorial instructions are severely lacking in detail. Those for the clippers omit entirely how to remove the blades for cleaning. Blade removal is a frequent necessity on dog grooming clippers, as hairs rapidly accumulate under the blades, around the motor, clogging everything up and causing wear. Not having this important information is a serious oversight – the information for the trimmer, whilst shown in one picture, is completely inadequate in this regard, too. Oh, the blades of both units need oiling regularly and before first use. A small bottle of machine oil is included for this task; this needs snipping open. Once opened, store upright somewhere safe, not in the storage case. Otherwise the oil will seep out and coat everything, potentially ruining it all. In summary: the Wahl clippers and the Wahl trimmer are both quality units that cut dog hair well. However, there are serious issues with: inadequate and insufficient instructions; loose and detaching guards; two incompatible changing systems; missing blade guard; inadequate and unsuitable storage case. For these reasons, I cannot, in good conscience, recommend this Wahl Grooming Set – had I purchased it, it would have been returned for a refund. Addendum: Whilst writing this review, I have taken the time to search through all other Wahl clippers that use guards. Almost without exception, they utilise a locking system, be it mechanical or magnetic. It makes no sense to not use the same guards in this Set. Furthermore, the inadequate instructions that come with this product advise that the blades be oiled once a month. However, Wahl recommends their professional animal grooming tools be oiled several times during a full groom, obviously depending upon the size of the dog and length of coat/time taken. In retrospect this is logical: Wahl blades are stainless steel, they are self-sharpening as they grind against each other. To facilitate this and ensure smooth operation, a lubricant is essential. A Wahl beard and hair trimmer is used 60-80 minutes per month and is oiled once per month – one full groom can take this long and put far more strain on the blades and motor. This is just one more flaw with this supposed Set.

Paws-itively Brilliant Grooming Kit!
As the proud but slightly overwhelmed owner of a very fluffy Cockapoo who thinks every bath is a betrayal and every grooming session a hostage situation, I cannot praise the Wahl Smart Clip Dog Clipper Combo Kit enough. First off, this thing means business. The clipper's 6000 RPM motor sliced through my dog’s coat like a hot knife through butter - no snags, no whining (from either of us), and most importantly, no weird bald patches. The cordless design gave me the freedom to chase her around the table without getting tangled up like a low-budget magician. And when I finally had her sitting still, the LED screen made it super easy to check I had enough battery to finish the job. (Spoiler: I did. It had 50 minutes straight out of the box, which is plenty unless you're grooming a woolly mammoth.) The precision trimmer was a total win for those fiddly areas like paws and... well, let’s just say “delicate bits.” It handled everything with the care and finesse of a spa technician - my dog didn’t even flinch, and she flinches at cheese wrappers. The kit comes with more accessories than a luxury handbag. Combs, oil, charger, a surprisingly roomy pouch - it’s like the Swiss Army knife of grooming tools. The adjustable blade settings are also a dream for tailoring the cut just right. I went from “chewed hedge” to “show dog” in one sitting. If you’re on the fence about grooming your dog at home, do yourself (and your wallet) a favour - get this kit. It’s powerful, versatile, and quiet enough not to trigger a canine meltdown. Plus, I got a very smug “who’s a good groomer?” tail wag at the end. Highly recommended. My dog may still hate baths, but at least she looks fabulous now.
