This is not my first dremel product and it won’t be my last. The detail is worth every penny, it is quick robust with an adequate butane capacity. You can also remove the tip and use it as a torch…brilliant piece of kit.

Dremel Gas soldering iron

I bought this soldering iron as I have no power in my Garage, the garage is also 3 miles away from where I live. I didn't have very high expectations to be honest as my previous gas soldering iron was pretty useless! How wrong I was this is a terrific tool that went far and beyond my expectations it gets 5* from me and I highly recommend it.

Super hot soldering iron with great accessories

Purchased this to fix wiring a mouse ate. I was able to solder the cables back together and change accessory to warm the heat shrink. I would purchase again if I need a new one.

Ideal for auto repair

Ideal for shrink rapping auto cable. On you tube it shows the product supplied with a tin storage case, mine just had the carboard outer...a bit disapointing considering the cost.

Terrible packaging

Described on the website as a torch, the box describes it as a soldering iron. Confused much, so I returned it, whilst still in the shop. Is it an iron or a torch or both? Rating it as a 1 as I did not open the package.

Can't try it out - no butane.

Bought this a few weeks ago for use on my canal boat. However, Sainsbury's no longer stock butane cans, nor apparently do other supermarkets. I'm limited to shops to nearby the canal and hope to find a stockist of butane cans in the coming weeks so I can try it out.
