Technics AZ100 Review – Soundstage First Impressio
What really sets the Technics AZ100 apart is the soundstage. For true wireless earbuds, the sense of space is genuinely impressive. Instead of everything feeling compressed and “in your head,” the audio feels wide, open, and properly layered — almost like listening on compact open-back headphones rather than earbuds. Instrument separation is excellent. You can clearly place vocals, percussion, and melodic elements within the mix, which makes complex tracks feel organised rather than cluttered. There’s a strong sense of depth too — not just left and right, but front-to-back positioning that gives music a more immersive, three-dimensional feel. They also handle dynamics beautifully. Quiet details don’t get lost, and bigger moments in a track expand naturally rather than collapsing into noise. This makes genres like electronic, orchestral, ambient, and live recordings especially satisfying, where space and atmosphere actually matter. That said, the presentation isn’t artificially exaggerated. Technics haven’t gone for a gimmicky “wide at all costs” tuning — it’s spacious, but still controlled and coherent. Some people might prefer a more intimate, forward sound, but if you value clarity, separation, and realism, the AZ100 absolutely deliver. In my view, the soundstage alone puts them in the premium category. Neutral take? There are technically more detailed earbuds on the market, and some offer heavier bass impact — but few create this level of spatial realism in a true wireless format. If you care about immersion and how music breathes, the AZ100 are genuinely special.

sound quality and battery life
a great set of wireless in ear headphones the call quality is good, not as good as cable though. the sound quality is on par with bose quiet comforts gen 1 as i had them before. but i would say not as comfortable as the bose quiet comfort if i had to choose now I've opened and tested i would of bought the qc gen 2.

Fantastic-sounding earbuds with a well-designed app and the best multipoint connectivity I’ve used. Ideal for work calls and focused listening, with strong call quality and good performance for the occasional film or TV episode. Fit in my right ear isn’t perfect and transparency mode has a slight hiss, but overall they’re an excellent pair of earbuds
