About this product
The Vax HomePro Pet-Design Cordless Vacuum Cleaner is built for tackling pet hair and everyday dirt across your entire home. It runs for up to 45 minutes on a full charge with the VAX ONEPWR 4.0Ah MAX Battery, giving you plenty of time to get through multiple rooms. The FlexiClean pole bends so you can reach under furniture without getting on your hands and knees, and the motorised floor head drives bristles into carpet to lift out ground-in dirt.
It converts to a handheld for sofas, stairs and cars, with tools including a motorised pet tool, pet hair remover, crevice nozzle, and stair tool. The two-stage filtration captures 99.9% of dust and allergens down to 0.3 microns, and the washable filter cuts replacement costs. The 0.7l dustbin empties via a slide mechanism with a full indicator. Weighing 3.5kg, it's a good cordless stick weight. The wall mount charges and stores it. The battery charges in 3 hours with a low battery indicator. Power boost mode adds suction, and it works on carpets, wool, rugs, hard floors, laminate, upholstery and stairs.

Not worth buying
I got this hoover at Christmas time last year, it was great initially but after 7 months has become a nuisance. It gets clogged very easily and the suction is terrible, it says it’s meant for pets but barely picks up my cats hair and it’s extremely difficult to get the litter. I will pick it up and it will drop the remains on the floor, every time. The battery is awful and although the mode selector is good only lasts a couple of minutes before the battery is depleted. Would definitely advise to get one elsewhere

Great vacuum
Great Vacuum versatile and flexible. Slightly too tall for us as we are elderly and there is no adjustment because that area is taken up by the flexible arrangement VFM value for money
does not have one, 65 or over
Motor head constantly breaks
This is the most irritating Vax we’ve ever had. The motor head constantly stops, sometimes there’s a small bit of fluff in the groove where the spinning roller sits which completely stops it. Often despite clearing this it still won’t work. The only positive is that Vax have replaced the head 3 times with no quibble (must be a known issue) but then we have no functioning vacuum cleaner for a week. Being a product that is aimed at households with pets and even with light use I would say it’s unfit for purpose.

Super tool😊
Had this for 4 weeks it’s perfect what more can I say a vast improvement on the previous model and the bendable shaft is amazing. ( the old one is still working in the summer house now).

Really disappointing
I bought this HomePro model a few months ago to replace my previous Blade 4 Pet cordless hoover, which was brilliant (until it finally gave up). This hoover doesn't pick up nearly as well. The main upright tube constantly gets blocked at the bottom and the inlet valve that connects to the dust collection bin also gets frequently jammed up. However, the most frustrating thing about it is when lifting up the hoover to put away or to carry it elsewhere, the brush head section often drops down and dumps all the dust and debris back out onto the freshly vacuumed floor. I would not recommend this particular model, it's been total waste of money.

Nope
Not happy with it at all, very small capacity, screams when you turn it on, blocks very easily and that’s at my daughters house, definitely would not cope with my 3 Labradors!!
Extremely Disappointed
A good efficient hoover, especially for pets.
The machine works much better than my old Vax, which was four years old. I find the tools much easier to change on this new model. The dust container however, is smaller and fiddly to empty, I have to use my fingers to get the last bit out as the slider doesn't really do the job.

Vax to the max
My daughter recommended this vacuum to me. I really like it. The light really helps me to see my pet’s hair, and not miss any whist using it, and I think this is a great feature. I also find it really easy to empty which is another bonus..

Vax vac
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Fast charging, overall durability is great! Easy to get to them places hard to reach! Not to heavy at all to move due to the weight, I am very happy!

Hello Cat,

Hello Gt4bro,
The supplier has advised the following for the Vax HomePro Pet-Design Cordless Vacuum Cleaner:
"The Vax HomePro Vacuum is suitable for under the sofa cleaning and has a built-in flex hose for ease in reach and access to those low areas. I would be unable to confirm the specific height of the floorhead however this would be suitable to use under most sofa types."
Thank you for using Q&A.
Hi There,
Vax HomePro Pet-Design Cordless Vacuum Cleaner
Having checked I can see the Vax Cordless Car Kit is only compatible with Vax Blade 4 Vacuum Cleaners so would not work with this vacuum.
Thanks for using Q&A.
Hello Smurgy,
The supplier has advised the following for the Vax HomePro Pet-Design Cordless Vacuum Cleaner:
“ We don't have record of the air watts for our machines so this isn't information I'm able to provide.
In general, cordless units are as powerful as corded units, however over time this may fluctuate due to the age or charge of the batteries. A corded machine is typically more consistent over time, but the difference is minimal.
Suction power will be good on all machines as long as proper maintenance is followed, such as cleaning and changing filters regularly, ensuring there are no blockages, etc. ”
Thanks for using Q&A.
