The world worst vac EVER.
No suction. Every thing drops out when you lift it up. Empty catch doesnt work. Blocks every 30 seconds. The worst vac i have ever had the misfortune to own.

NOT an upgraded design!
This so called best ever vacuum by Vax is by no means an upgraded model. I purchased this after my previous model stopped spinning. Having had this new model now for 6 months I can say with absolute certainty that this vacuum is far inferior to the previous model in almost every respect. Firstly it is so much noisier. The sound is equivalent to using a power tool. The flexi clean pole is annoying and it makes the whole vacuum feel unstable. The hygienic emptying system whilst seems like a good idea is not as easy to operate as the one step adverts suggests. It first needs to be disconnected from the vacuum pole which is not easy and when you do finally get it off and pop the button, the push mechanism takes quite some force to get it empty. The anti hair wrap mechanism has a piece of plastic behind it that I have no idea what it is there for as all it does it catch and fill up with hair and rubbish. The main pole and the top of the bin area has been clogged with hair and rubbish several times now. The suction is quite frankly pathetic and you have it on a higher level which drains the battery in a matter of minutes. The floor head is also larger than the previous model which means it doesn’t fit into the books and crannies like the old model does. In conclusion do not buy this model. It is extremely poorly designed. I have now bought a replacement floor head for my previous model which is just far superior.

Good value for money
I got this as a replacement for my Dyson. I felt it was not As robust as my previous vacuum however it works well and is easy to use under furniture. Easy to empty and charging is fast and the battery lasts for 45 mins as stated

We have had the Vax home pro pet design vacuum about three weeks now and I must admit I’m not very impressed with it, It’s not that easy to take apart and clean and I always feel I’m going to break it It’s not brilliant with dog hairs and blocks up regularly and it doesn’t hold much dust so you constantly have to empty and the dog hair blocks it going from the inlet pipe to the dust storage area, so I must say I’m not a Vax fan.

Yes I'm really happy with my Vax cordless hoover but empty the dust chamber is quite difficult because the eject button is quite stiff to push in, other than that the hoover is brilliant.

Brilliant
This vacuum cleaner is brilliant. Easy to use and empty. It is lightweight and therefore easy to manoeuvre.

Good but battery life disappointing.
I have had this for a couple of weeks. It seems to be easy to use and picks up well. However the claim that the battery lasts up to 45 mins is a bit misleading. Even using it without any power boost I’m lucky if I get half that. I can’t do my whole house on one charge

A lot heavier than my previous unit but works very well.

Hi Caz,
Vax HomePro Pet-Design Cordless Vacuum Cleaner
On checking I can see the battery is removed for charging.
Thanks for using Q and A.
Hello Gt4bro,
The supplier has advised the following for the Vax HomePro Pet-Design Cordless Vacuum Cleaner:
"The Vax HomePro Vacuum is suitable for under the sofa cleaning and has a built-in flex hose for ease in reach and access to those low areas. I would be unable to confirm the specific height of the floorhead however this would be suitable to use under most sofa types."
Thank you for using Q&A.
Hi There,
Vax HomePro Pet-Design Cordless Vacuum Cleaner
Having checked I can see the Vax Cordless Car Kit is only compatible with Vax Blade 4 Vacuum Cleaners so would not work with this vacuum.
Thanks for using Q&A.
Hello Smurgy,
The supplier has advised the following for the Vax HomePro Pet-Design Cordless Vacuum Cleaner:
“ We don't have record of the air watts for our machines so this isn't information I'm able to provide.
In general, cordless units are as powerful as corded units, however over time this may fluctuate due to the age or charge of the batteries. A corded machine is typically more consistent over time, but the difference is minimal.
Suction power will be good on all machines as long as proper maintenance is followed, such as cleaning and changing filters regularly, ensuring there are no blockages, etc. ”
Thanks for using Q&A.
