Bigger and heavier than expected -- but excellent
The SX740 images looked like the model was very similar to the SX620 and had higher zoom capabilities. But it is larger and thicker. It is heavier. The only plus is the 40x zoom and the screen (so you can take selfies). I wanted another pocket sized, point and shoot camera like my SX620 (with 25x zoom) but getting a 620 has been impossible. I bought it, so I'd have a replacement when my 620SX started losing pixels. This is a perfect camera for anyone that wants a point-and-shoot camera with an excellent zoom. It's not a 'pocket' camera like the SX620, but it's a good, easy to use camera that can save important moments.

I only got the camera a few days ago I was so lucky to find it in stock but so far it’s been amazing, the quality of the pictures and once played with settings you know exactly how you want your pictures.

Best camera without breaking the bank
I bought this as an alternative to the G7x and can say it’s worth the money!! Resolution is so crisp yet has a nice blurring effect without ruining the quality. It’s so good for videos and literally produces no blurry pictures or lines the focus is so nice on it !
