The Ruark R2 DAB, DAB, FM and Internet Radio is a complete music system combining traditional radio and modern streaming in a stylish unit for kitchen or living room. With DAB, DAB, FM tuners, and internet radio, thousands of stations are at your fingertips, stored in presets for easy access. It supports Spotify, Amazon Music, and Deezer directly, while the Bluetooth receiver lets you stream from your mobile. Bluetooth integrates with your phone's volume controls, so you can adjust sound without reaching for the radio.
Sound-wise, it delivers 9 watts RMS with bass and treble controls that let you tweak the audio to suit your room or mood. The USB-C port handles both charging your devices and playback, and there's an auxiliary input for connecting an iPod or MP3 player, plus a headphone socket for private listening. The alarm and sleep timer make it a proper bedside companion, with auto time update and RDS scrolling text keeping you informed. It's compact enough to fit most surfaces without taking over. Such a rich sounding, beautiful made music system.
Having a Vita audio R4s (before it became Ruark) and knowing the sound en build quality it was already determined that my office ‘radio’ would also be a Ruark. I was thinking of the 1Rs but the stereo sound wish brought me to the R2 Mk4. A great looking and sounding music system that, although not the cheapest, never disappoints when turned on. Excellent reception of fm, DAB. The internet streaming was a big pro and is excellent. The bright screen is clear but not to present as it blends in the overall design perfectly. The wooden finish in combination with the espresso color finish makes this product an absolute winner. If it is on your shortlist don’t hesitate and just buy it. Can’t imagine you would regret it.

Sound quality decidedly met my expectations
Since its purchase, I have mostly used R2 as a radio, accessing classical music stations operating on DAB+. The experience has been quite conclusive in terms of the depth and breadth of sound restitution. My only disappointment concerns the listening experience when accessing the Qobuz streaming platform via Bluetooth which does not meet the same quality standards.

Great Features
I purchased this on 26 May 2026. I was using a BOSE Sound Touch for over 10 years which gave me access to internet radio from all over the world and some streaming services. However, BOSE decommissioned that service in May 2026. Research revealed this product to be equivalent and/or better. This is a better product for a myriad of reasons : Internet radio from all regions of the world, DAB +, AM/FM, 2 settlings for alarm with radio alarm, sleep function, good sound, compact, stylish, WIFI and can be operated through a device such as a smart phone.

my R2 arrived the morning after I ordered it and it was very straightforward to set up ..... the radio is quality is superb and Spotify works beautifully ...... i am delighted with whole thing and as a bonus it looks fantastic too.

Amazing sound
Using this in my office , mainly for internet radio and streaming from Amazon music Lovely sound with good separation which competitors don’t have Easy to use app and I have the remote which is good for volume and on off control without using my phone

Stunning sound quality
I've had my R2 Mk4 for a couple of weeks now after purchasing it to replace a Bose SoundTouch Smart Speaker which I'd had for over 10 years and was no longer supported. I'm thoroughly impressed by the design of the product, ease of use and most importantly, the superb sound quality. I'm really enjoying having both DAB and internet radio functionality, and it's got a really warm, comforting sound to it. When streaming music via Bluetooth, the sound quality and bass is excellent. What I'd love to see in the future is added support for AirPlay or Apple Music. Highly recommended,

Fantastic sound quality
This is not a cheap bit of kit but the sound quality is fantastic and it totally fits the bill for what I was after with a remote and presets. In addition, it is a beautiful design piece. I love it!
