About this product

A complete music system, R2 is equipped with DAB/DAB+, FM and internet tuners with pre-sets, and directly supports major streaming services including Spotify, Amazon Music and Deezer, and with a quality Bluetooth receiver every other streaming service available. The Bluetooth function also seamlessly integrates with the volume function on phones and tablets, so volume can be easily raised or reduced as desired. R2 also features a USB-C charge and playback port, switchable auxiliary line input and headphone output.

Absolutely love this radio
This is a very elegant radio and the sound quality is remarkable: very clear and distinct. It’s easy to use and we love it. There were some early problems when the time kept jumping forward a hour but Ruark support sorted that out quickly. We bought the additional remote control which is useful but in a perfect world it would have been white to match the radio, not black.

Amazing piece of kit

Very pleased to have bought this product. Only real difficiency for me is lack of CAST feature. Maybe a software update to include this can be considered.

I bought a Ruark radio and, honestly, I'm surprised by the build quality and rich sound it delivers. The most impressive feature is the polymer casing with a hand-crafted wooden grille, which looks exceptional. Above the grille on the front is a glass panel, behind which is an OLED display. The speakers are equipped with robust neodymium magnets, and the transducers are powered by a class AB amplifier, a rather unusual solution in this product category and price range. The device's 18W output is quite capable, and the 3D sound processor provides a spacious sound. Bass and treble adjustments, activating the 3D sound processor, and volume control allow users to customize these settings to their individual needs. I didn't think a radio like this could play like this. It's not cheap, but it's worth the purchase. The sound is spacious, dominated by mid-tones that pulsate with the richness of the sounds coming from the device. Listening to internet stations and the film music I've preset provides an extraordinary musical experience. The device plays beautifully, making you want to listen again and again. My wife doesn't want to go to work, and I'm not surprised. I'm satisfied with the purchase of this device.

Great radio/sound system
I was gifted this speaker by my husband for Christmas. He is very fussy when it comes to speakers as he has worked in audio production. This speaker is great and just what I wanted. It has DAB for my favourite BBC stations and internet radio from which you can pick from radio stations around the world. You can stream your Apple Music to it and it also has Amazon music and Spotify amongst other music streaming services. I have the Green model and it looks great in our kitchen.

Good design
The design, materials and colors perfectly go with my cabinet. That's the main reason why I was attracted by it first. However, after using it, this device (including its App, Oktiv) is easy to use and navigate through all the functions and menu as well. The only problem I had was to figure out how to preset the radio chanels.
