The Ruark R2 DAB, DAB, FM and Internet Radio is a complete music system combining traditional radio and modern streaming in a stylish unit for kitchen or living room. With DAB, DAB, FM tuners, and internet radio, thousands of stations are at your fingertips, stored in presets for easy access. It supports Spotify, Amazon Music, and Deezer directly, while the Bluetooth receiver lets you stream from your mobile. Bluetooth integrates with your phone's volume controls, so you can adjust sound without reaching for the radio.
Sound-wise, it delivers 9 watts RMS with bass and treble controls that let you tweak the audio to suit your room or mood. The USB-C port handles both charging your devices and playback, and there's an auxiliary input for connecting an iPod or MP3 player, plus a headphone socket for private listening. The alarm and sleep timer make it a proper bedside companion, with auto time update and RDS scrolling text keeping you informed. It's compact enough to fit most surfaces without taking over. Classy and technically sound
We've been using the R2 for a month or so now. It is a very very good kitchen radio with sound and versatility to match the price. It is replacing the peerless Bose Wave Soundtouch, which it doesn't quite match for sound quality but exceeds in connectivity, services and style. Does take a little bit of time to work out all the menus and the most efficient modus operandi. Would have liked more presets on the remote and a larger screen.

Beautiful machine.
Like I suspect many other recent purchasers, I bought a Ruark R2 because Bose stopped supporting radio presets on their machines, thereby rendering them pretty much useless for my purposes. I had heard great things about the Ruark, so I chose one of their lovely sets. I find it beautiful to look at and well proportioned, with a timeless design that I know won't age. It functions beautifully on all settings. In short, the Ruark outperforms the Bose in every measure, and I know they will not make it a brick in a few years time.

RuarkR2 after one month
A few weeks on and I can say this is a proper bit of kit with every available radio input and a deep and solid sound. Expensive but I dont regret it. it has been excellent. . If you have a Smart Phone you can use it as a remote via an app called OKTIV, so no need to buy the dedicated one.

Superb Classic: wonderful sound, quality product
Bought this a few weeks ago and use it as a trusted, reliable friend every day. The sound quality and handling is outstanding for a bookshelf radio and the classy look and finish (cream with light wood) make this a beautiful piece of furniture. The looks really do understate the technical and sonic versatility of this system.

Ruark R2 Mk4 Smart Music System Review
Received Ruark radio a couple of weeks ago from official Ruark reseller. Radio came without any surprise, well packed all necessary items included. Easy to setup and already entertaining us daily with its excellent performance. Brought a new sound dimension to our kitchen :-)

Easy to set up .. great sound ..looks good
I had been looking for a radio to live in my bedroom for a while . So pleased I chose this one ! I read reviews so I was reasonably confident that it would suit and so far it has surpassed expectations! It was a breeze to set up .. intuitive to operate and the Oktiv app works a treat . The sound quality is superb both speech and music. I did buy the remote also as I didn’t want to have to look on my phone in the night which is when I often listen to the radio. I chose the blue colour way as it suits the room. I’m lucky to live on the coast and the colour adds to that vibe!

Such a rich sounding, beautiful made music system.
Having a Vita audio R4s (before it became Ruark) and knowing the sound en build quality it was already determined that my office ‘radio’ would also be a Ruark. I was thinking of the 1Rs but the stereo sound wish brought me to the R2 Mk4. A great looking and sounding music system that, although not the cheapest, never disappoints when turned on. Excellent reception of fm, DAB. The internet streaming was a big pro and is excellent. The bright screen is clear but not to present as it blends in the overall design perfectly. The wooden finish in combination with the espresso color finish makes this product an absolute winner. If it is on your shortlist don’t hesitate and just buy it. Can’t imagine you would regret it.
