A complete music system, R2 is equipped with DAB/DAB+, FM and internet tuners with pre-sets, and directly supports major streaming services including Spotify, Amazon Music and Deezer, and with a quality Bluetooth receiver every other streaming service available. The Bluetooth function also seamlessly integrates with the volume function on phones and tablets, so volume can be easily raised or reduced as desired. R2 also features a USB-C charge and playback port, switchable auxiliary line input and headphone output.

Quality through and through
This is the third Ruark radio I have bought, so I had a good idea of what to expect, but I wasn't quite expecting the hi-fi quality of something that is really a tabletop radio. The sound is natural on both speech and music; if very occasionally some voices are a touch bass-heavy the equaliser on the OKTIV app gives complete adjustment. It is quite large but the espresso lacquer and walnut grill makes it blend in with the dark wood of its location so that it seems almost invisible. I can't praise the natural sound highly enough, an entire concert on Radio 3 does not produce any fatigue. Add the exceptional build quality and we have a radio that exudes quality from every pore.

Real quality feels.
Excellent build and design. The sound is brilliant for music and speech. Controls are logical, menus straightforward. One of the only radios I have had where multiple presets are stored in fm and digital without fuss. We have ours in the kitchen for news, music and podcasts. It’s up off the worktop but it’s easy to remember the controls layout and the display is clear and easy to read. We bought this radio mainly for clarity of sound and it’s really winning in that respect.

Great radio
We bought this to replace our old Bose radio which was not being supported anymore and are very pleased with the results. It was expensive but worth the money.

high-quality beautifully made music radio system
As an existing Ruark R1 user, I knew the bigger R2 Mk4 would not disappoint. Stylish looks, beautifully designed, high build quality, powerful rich sound, & a joy to use via the RotoDial controller. I particularly enjoy discovering great internet radio stations from around the world, and the R2 design makes it so easy & fun! If you're looking for a compact sized hi-fi sounding system for the kitchen, bedroom, home office etc, the R2 Mk4 shouldn't be overlooked. Yes, a little pricey perhaps but the R2 is surely worth the investment.

Excellent sound and design
Bought the R2 MK4 a couple of weeks ago. Very happy with it so far, sounds great and looks good. My only "i wish" is that there is no support for Airplay (i use Apple Music)

Great sound and features
I bought the Ruark R2 mk4 about a month ago for my place in Spain. I was initially going to take out a Pure radio I had but DAB has moved on with DAB+. This unit seems to do it all, Bluetooth , DAB, DAB+, FM , USB, Line in, Amazon, Deezer, Spotify and Internet radio. more importantly it sounds amazing when playing my personal music library through Qobuz. Such a superior sound from such a relatively small unit. My only slight niggle is that Qobuz is not supported directly, unlike Ruark’s more expensive units so please update the firmware to allow for this. All in all more than just a radio,

Eleganckie i stylowy sprzęt, gra zaskakująco dobrze, jak na rozmiary (słucham przede wszystkim radia internetowego i serwisów streamingowych). Obsługa intuicyjna, menu czytelne i w języku polskim. W jednej ze znalezionych opinii, była informacja o problemie połączenia z siecią wifi, który myślę, został wyeleminowany przez aktualizację oprogramowania, które nastąpiło przy pierwszym uruchomieniu. Połączenie prze WPS łatwe i skuteczne. Takiej sprzętu szukałem, jednym przyciskiem włączam i ładnie gra moja ulubione muzyka. Minus za brak pilota, przy takiej cenie bezwzględnie powinien być.

Great Radio with Real Sound
The tonal separation Ruark Radio is the best I have ever heard. Sometimes times I get a sense that I am hearing the sound of musicians in a recording studio and not no a stage show. I have found the bass a bit strong so I put a softcover book under the radio to block the bass ports. That balanced and reduced the bass volume more to my liking. I have lots to learn about all the workings and source stations of the radio. It will take months but for now I am just enjoying the music.
