R1S grabs attention with its flawless look and sound. With tactile curves, exclusive Mid Grey finish and Composite wood hand-crafted grille, R1S exudes fresh contemporary design. The grille material is created from sustainable woods, which are carefully spliced, coloured, and recomposed to closely mimic the rich tones of slow growing hardwoods, without the ecological impact. The cabinet and grille blend perfectly with the trademark RotoDial controller and new colour display, to create a feel that encapsulates the technical capabilities of R1S.
R1S takes this timeless medium to a new level, but with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth also built in, R1S is more than just a radio, but more so a complete music system that's small enough to fit easily into your home, but capable enough to provide day long entertainment.
With Wi-Fi and Bluetooth streaming also built in the appeal of R1S is further enhanced. R1S directly supports Spotify Connect*, Amazon Music and Deezer and with its Bluetooth 5 receiver virtually every other service available. The Bluetooth function remembers up to six devices and provides excellent sound quality and efficiency, meaning minimal battery drain on battery powered devices.

Loving my Ruark
I've been using my R1S for a month now and I'm thrilled with it. Great sound quality. I listen to quite a few Internet stations and have plenty of choice. My only teeny niggle is that I can't turn the volume down as quiet as I'd like to be able. (Yes I know that's silly quiet! )

I searched for weeks trying to find an Internet Radio that would sit at the side of my bed with a good clock display. Many internet radios are not suitable as Clock Radios and the clock display is minute. There are many with a good clock display but they aren't internet radios. Eventually, I found the Ruark R1S at Richer Sounds and I am so delighted. The sound is great and the bass is really good

What a lovely radio. The sound quality is so good at any volume and everything is crystal clear. The controls are easy to use and because of the layout easy to use even in very low light. I have increased my radio listening just because this radio is so good. I highly recommend this radio

Small, good looking and sounds great
Bought this as clock radio alarm for the bedroom. It is small, neat, and sounds great. It also works seamlessly with Spotify when I want to play music. It’s expensive, but very nice!
