The TomTom GO Classic 5inch 2nd Gen delivers reliable navigation with high-quality maps and trusted traffic updates covering 27 European countries. Monthly map updates keep your routes current, so new road layouts and changed junctions won't catch you out. The fully interactive touchscreen has higher resolution than the previous generation, making turns and alerts easier to spot. It connects via your smartphone to access TomTom Traffic and helps you avoid delays before they slow you down.
Lane guidance shows which lane to be in well before complex junctions. Choose from 3 route options including fastest, shortest or most environmentally friendly. The eco route plans fuel-efficient navigation to stretch your tank. Points of interest display nearby petrol stations, restaurants and useful stops. It stores past routes, making regular trips quicker to set up. You get 2D and 3D mapping plus a 3-month free trial of speed camera alerts. Battery life lasts up to 2 hours unplugged, with a car charger for longer drives. The integrated mount and USB-C connection make setup easy.

Not as good as TomTom used to be….
Bought and no record function. Software updates did t work. Unable to connect to TomTom account. Hours spent trying to fix and online to tech support.

Avoid - Not as good as previous models
I bought this to replace a previous TomTom that had stopped working. Very disappointed that the new version has LESS features than the old version. The old version could navigate to the postcode and house number but this one only navigates to postcode. The old version worked on its own, the new one connects to mobile and eats up data allowance so is expensive to run - be better off using Google Maps on a mobile. The old version had nice touches like voice input to change route which the new one doesn't have. The old one also allowed vehicle image and voice to be changed and the new one doesn't. The new version is very slow at giving instructions - tells you to turn AFTER the junction has been passed. Hard to hear even at full volume with traffic nose. It is advertised with 3 months free speed cameras but as week after battling with the AI chat bot, this is still not working. Very disappointed with purchase and can't return it as had to use it to find out how bad it was. Will never buy this brand again.
