I used this for my steamdeck , works great and no problems to format it .

Excellent value for money
I bought this 1tb Samsung pr usccard for my Samsung A55. It workrd wiyhout me havingbto fomat it. I tested some star trek files donwnloaded from piratebay. Season 1 was a 177 gb folder and i downloaded the entire Season 1 from.piratebay and copied it to the memory card on my laptop. I never formatted the card. I then took the SD card out and put it into my phone and the video files played perfectly and the phone recognized the card straight away and so did the lapto. In both cases i never formatted the card. Also my Razer phone 2 recognised the card straight away and played the video files perfectly. I also tried the card in my the Motorola G62 but it does not play any video files unless the xard is formatted first. I formatted the card and the files got deleted. I then put put the card into my laptop and copied the entire 177 gb folder back onto the memory card and that took it out and inserted it back into my Motorola G62. This time they played perfectly. Conclusion. Older devices will definitely require you to format the card before use but newer devices will treat the card as an external drive without formatting. Same goes for laptops. They basically treat the card doesn't external drive. Four devices were tested with the card. Three phones and a Dell XP 15 Laptop. Additional: The app tubemate allows you to copy video files upto 4gb but files large than 4gb do not copy directly onto the card and must be downloaded to the internal memory first and then transferred across to the card using a file manager app. Files under 4gb can be copied directly onto the card within the tubemate app without the need for a file manager. The video files play perfectly using the same test and two different video players - VLC and MX apps from the google play store.

Excellent quality out of box adapted to any device. Great read/write speeds and very handy. Only issue is the packaging that takes a bit hassle to open without scissors or knife.

According to the information available on the manufacturer's website, the Nintendo Switch 2 supports only microSD Express card. Therefore this standard microSD card won't be compatible.
