Brilliant hoover
This is a brilliant hoover. Very strong. Some complained about the cable in previous reviews but I haven’t found it a problem. Very happy. My 6 year old loves it too!

Good vacuum except for the stiff wire
The vacuum has wire fitted with a wire that is coated with plastic that has a memory, therefore when you wind the wire around the brackets on the handle it kinks the wire and makes it very awkward when cleaning the floors, if they used a wire that was flexible and did not have a memory it would be so much better.

This machine replaced the replacement that failed after two months and which itself had replaced the original purchase that failed a meter of weeks after the expiry of its warrantee. This machine fails on two counts: it is the first upright machine in seventy years that I have had which will not stand up! The cable is so stiff that it cannot easily be wrapped around the lugs provided, the top one of which is loose and repeatedly slips over and deposits the cable on the floor. The cable being so stiff it is likely that the copper core will break in a short time thus rendering yet another machine inoperable or maybe even catching fire. Meanwhile it does suck up very well, but can someone please offer a solution to fix the loose cable lug and to get the thing to stand up without the need to find secure props around the house to lean it on.

Very impressed with Shark guarantee service. Easy to contact quickly sent replacement. Cleaner good design light and functional. The new flex is very stiff and difficult to wrap for storage.

Works very well
Shark replaced the first vacuum after a year, the vacuum is great. Does a really good job. The warranty service is also straight forward and works well. We are pleased. Hopefully the second vacuum will last! But we know that with the warranty back it up, its been worth it.

I love these machines. They're light, manoeuvrable, adaptable and they suck good and proper. Easy to empty and clean too. And when they go wrong, they send new new parts.

Loyal Shark Fan Disappointed by the PowerDetect
To begin, I would like to mention that I am a massive fan of Shark and Ninja products, and I have always been satisfied with my previous purchases. However, I recently replaced my Stratos corded stick vacuum with the new PowerDetect model, and unfortunately, my experience has not been as positive. While the suction power is comparable to the Stratos, I find the PowerDetect quite difficult to maneuver around my home, primarily due to the power cord. The cord is remarkably stiff, causing it to kink and tangle easily, which frequently leads to it becoming caught under doors. This not only creates a tripping hazard and a risk of damage to the cord, but it also forces me to stop vacuuming constantly to address these issues. I find this to be very frustrating! I've waited to post a review, hoping that over time the cord would become less stiff but unfortunately this has not changed. I would not recommend this vacuum.
