This Vacuum Cleaner is amazing! I have had dyson's previously and honestly the Shark power detect is far superior. The detect feature is fab as I have mixed flooring which the vacuum detects automatically. The light shows up any dust/dirt and it is effortless.

Ok but not easy to use
I've had this vacuum for a couple of months. It's very effective at picking up dirt and dust. There is nowhere to store the attachments which is annoying. The main frustration is the cable, it's almost impossible to use, it's hard inflexible plastic and takes ages to wind and unwind. Overall it's a good vacuum but could be a lot better

Received this today absolutely fab.read revues before I purchased there was some bad thought I’d buy and find out for myself as I’ve had shark for years and never been disappointed.glad I did. Brilliant suction easy to handle love it.

Not an ergonomic design
Good suction power, which is what you want in a shark, but as others have said horrible cord that isn’t flexible, it’s really hard to wrap the wire up without falling off the pegs and when in use it can tangle up, it’s a trip hazard. Another point I haven’t seen anyone make is as the dust collector is high up on the stick, it adds weight, so you need a good level of shoulder mobility and strength to use it. The handle is at right angles which isn’t great ergonomically. In addition the height means if you’re around the 5ft mark your arm has to be raised to use it which isn’t great if you have shoulder mobility problems. I consider myself middle aged and able bodied with no injuries, yet I find my arm aches after I’ve used it for 15/20mins. The hoover seems to self propel forwards but It’s quite difficult to pull back towards you. I’ve turned the settings on and off but I find this annoying.

Supreme Vacuum Stick
Excellent Product, especially as it has teh same Head as the Upright Machines. The only flaw is that you cannot have it stand upright when needing to move something out of the way, as it topples. But if you prepare your way well beforehand, then there is no hassles at all. Very Powerful and the Cord is very, very long, making it ideal. Supremely better than any Battery Charged Versions, as the Cord goes a long way. The Filters are excellent and pick up a lot of the Dust (One improvement could be that the Dust Cup needs to have the hinge on the opposite end to improve access when emptying).

Does a very good job overall
Pros :- Super strong suction (just don't accidentally run over any cables, it will chew them up!); very long cord; easy to empty dust container; hair wrap; easy to manoeuver. Cons: - cord very inflexible; won't stand up on it's own;very manoeuvreable but it can run away with you!

My first shark
The bad bits it doesn't stand up alone, the power cord is really stiff and unruly. Best bits, It cleans brilliantly, separates well to add tools the bin is easy to remove and clean.

Fab Hoover, but the power cord
I have had Shark hoovers for as long as I can remember and always been more than satisfied with their performance and quality. This hoover is no exception, HOWEVER, the power cord really lets it down. It is very rigid and non flexible. It easily gets tangled and unfortunately has managed to break a floor vase and gets easily wrapped around objects and furniture. I was hoping after a couple of weeks use, it might become more flexible, this has not been the case and I cannot see it improving.
