About this product
The cordless UniversalCirc 18V-53 is the best-in-class circular saw for a wide range of DIY woodworking jobs. It has a cutting depth of 53 mm for precise cutting of wood, chipboard, and other wood based materials. A high quality 160 mm saw blade with 24 carbide tipped teeth and a robust aluminium upper guard ensure accurate and powerful cutting. Home woodworkers will be impressed by the extensive cutting capacity of 33 m in 19 mm chipboard per battery charge (2.5 Ah).
This tool is compatible with the Bosch Home & Garden guide rail system, ensuring optimal precision, especially for long cuts. And for a clean workspace, a vacuum cleaner can be connected to collect more than 90 % of the dust. Does not include battery and charger.
Spindle lock locks the motor spindle for an easy saw blade change.

Easy to use
Bought this to do some DIY floor boarding. It is so easy to use straight out of the box. Doesn't come with a battery though.

Great Circular Saw
Easy to use, versatile tool. Would it hold up daily use, Im not sure but as a DIY’er its perfect. The only issue is the standard blade that comes wont give you the smoothest cut so you may need to spend money to buy an additional blade with more teeth.

Perfect saw for DIY Use!
I needed a light weight cordless circular saw for smaller jobs. Chose this Bosch CIRC 28 Volt 53 as I have other Bosch tools that use the same batteries and know from experience that it is a very reliable brand with good safety features. I have been using it to cut various angles and I am pleased how accurate it cuts them, so can definitely recommend it.

The Bosch Universal Circ 18V-53 Cordless Circular Saw is designed to be compatible with Bosch's 18V POWER FOR ALL battery system. Unfortunately, DeWalt 18V batteries are not compatible with Bosch tools.

Bosch Universal Circ 18V-53 Cordless Circular Saw 454/6649 This item requires a 18v Battery. If the battery you have for your other item is 18v then it would be suitable for this item. Most cordless items have interchangeable batteries that fit different items with the same brand.
