Small design fault.
Works well apart from the fact the cable from the socket attached to the hedge trimmer falls out at the slightest tension on the wire.

This is fab
I bought this for mum, it is absolutely fabulous! I have a more expensive one which is fine but next time I cut my privates I will be borrowing mums, it cuts so much deeper so can cut them further back than ever before. It has a a great cable on it too.

Pleased.
Only used a couple of times and so far very happy with purchase. It's easy to use and lightweight. The bright red, heavy duty power cable is 10mm thick and detaches near the trimmer, which saves going all the way back to the socket if you accidentally pull the cable too far. Leaves nice crisp cuts. The only negative is its very loud, shrill noise.

I bought this a few weeks ago, it was ready to use straight out of the box. Lightweight and easy to handle , trimmed my honeysuckle so easy. Brilliant.

DONT buy this
If you like your hedge trimming to take twice as long as it should then buy this trimmer. You spend most of your time reconnecting the plug to the extension lead which is infuriating. I ended up putting it back in the box and throwing it to the back of the garage and got my hand held shears out.

Yes, power cable is detachable. Obviously comes with purchase.
It hooks in the bottom of trimmer to stop the plug detaching when stretched. Previous answers are incorrect. Also the chap that left one star review didnt read instructions properly. He should of hooked the cable away as I previously described! Theres also a photo of this in product description
