Awesome wee manual mower

Lightweight and effective
This little compact lawnmower is really great, and does a good job of cutting the grass. It is more robust than I was expecting, which is a real bonus. A little fiddly to put together, with the instructions printed very small, but got there in the end. Great purchase, at a really good price.

Very Handy
I bought this manual lawn mover because the grass was wet but needed to be cut and was too dangerous to use the electric one. It came in a box to be put together, which was quite easy to do so. I was very surprised (including my neighbour) and very happy to see how well it cut. The only negative thing is the basket, hence only 4 stars. It's not that great catching and holding that much grass cuttings, but maybe that's because the length of wet grass it was dealing with. But overall a brilliant purchase.

Great little lawnmower
Got this to replace my Flymo. Much better for a small lawn, don't have to plug it in, 5 metal blades as opposed to qoneplastic one less noise better for the environment and a cluster cut, needed a couple of passes but very happy, can whip it out whenever needed without any fuss.

Brilliant for what it is
Of course, the petrol mowers are fantastic and nothing really beats them, but if you’re after a budget friendly alternative and more eco friendly too, this is the mower for you.

Thanks for using Q and A.
Hi LyttonWolf,
The McGregor 30cm Wide Cylinder Lawnmower has an adjustable cutting height range of 1.8 cm to 3.8 cm (i.e., 18 mm to 38 mm) Unfortunately, this means that even at its lowest factory setting, it won't reach the 4–5 mm height typically required for a putting green.
Thank you for using Q&A

Thanks for using Q&A.
Yes
Hi Petra,
I have looked into this item McGregor 30cm Wide Cylinder Lawnmower 454/2320
for you and checked the instructions and on page 13 it advises:
Adjust the cutting height
Depending on the length of grass you are cutting you may want to adjust the
cutting height of the lawnmower. This can be done by raising or lowering the
cutting height roller.
To adjust the cutting height, pull the cutting height adjustment knobs on both
sides away from the mower body, and then move them forward or backward
to adjust the cutting height. Make sure the knobs are the same height on both
sides
Thank you for using Argos Q&A
The cutting height adjustment knobs are not turning knobs, they’re pulling knobs. You pull both outward and then you can move the height adjustment up or down two or three different positions. The blade adjustment nuts can be tightened/loosened using a 10 mm socket wrench or a spanner.
Hi DD,
Assembling the handle for your McGregor 30cm Wide Cylinder Lawnmower should indeed be straightforward. Let’s walk through the steps:
Insert the Lower Handle Bar:
Insert the left and right lower handles into the slots on the mower deck.
Ensure the locking pin (button) is secured into place.
After assembly, check that the handles are secure and cannot be pulled out of the mower deck.
Attach the Middle Handle Bar:
Fasten the middle handle bar to the lower handle bar using bolts and wing knobs.
Secure the Upper Handle:
Attach the upper handle to the mid handles using bolts.
Position the complete assembled handle over the studs on both sides of the rear mower frame.
Remember to follow the specific instructions in your mower’s manual for precise details.
I hope this helps.
Thank you for using Q&A
I had the exact same problem, the instructions arn't very clear.
Inside the mower head there are to round things, you have to attach the mower handle to one and then bend the handles in and force the other one on so it springs back out and locks. I wish I could upload a picture for you. Other than that, this machine is ace and does the job brilliantly. Hope that helps.
